"We are on a roll!" I laughed, sitting down at my desk, opposite Jake.

"You are on a roll, I'm just along for the ride.." He laughed, placing the box of donuts we had bought on our joint desk.

"Now now, your a big help.." I laughed, logging onto my computer.

"We are on a streak, there's nothing stoping us from-"

"Do not jinx it, I had a guy back in my old squad who always did that.." I laughed. "So Boyle is really into Thanksgiving?" I said glancing to his desk.

I was cover in turkey drawings and festive decorations dedicated to the holiday, one holiday in which I didn't enjoy all that much.

"Boyle loves Thanksgiving." Jake said, although I knew there was something more he wanted to ask.

I took a few moments, moments in which he would look as though he was about to say something, suddenly change his mind and then repeat the process. After my giggle due to his funny behaviour, he finally started talking.

"Are you doing anything for the holiday, going home or something?" He laugh, nervously messing with his pen.

"I have no plans, I'll most likely chill out in my PJ's and watch movies. My amazing pizza place is open, so I'll have some of that" I said, taking my eyes away from the screen and placing them in him.

"The pizza place Boyle knows nothing about?" He laughed, looking to see if Boyle was around as this in his mind, was their little secret.

"Exactly, what will you be doing?" I asked, I was genuinely interested in his plans.

"I might go to my moms, if my dad is there then its a no from me.." He said, followed by a nervous laugh.

"Well my place is open to you, just bring some goodies if you plan to make an appearance.." I said, leaving my desk to make some copies.

The second I departed from my area, Charles moved at the speed of light to Jakes said, posing am important question.

"Will you come to Thanksgiving dinner with me?" He muttered in quite the serious tone.

"Boyle, this isn't like asking someone to prom. Besides, I already have plans.." He said, watching me copying my files.

His short stare was noticed by his best friend, who had finally put the pieces of Jakes heart together and realised it matched up, to me. His jaw dropped and before sound could be made, Jake silenced him.

"So not scream, or even squeal for a matter of fact.." He said, taking his friends arm and dragging him to the roof where he could finally make sound.

"You and Bishop?!" He yelled, like the idea of the pair being something was new.

"Keep your voice down! I think-"

"I thought you were making her feel welcome! Not trying to get in her pants!" He yelled again, at this point he he simply spiralling.

"Okay Charles, keep it down. This isn't new news, I'm really into her and have been for a long time, even Terry spotted it!" Jake said, as Terrys notice would be comforting.

"Terry?!"

You were wrong Jake, this was not at all a comforting thought.

"So you're Thanksgiving plans, are with her?!" He sternly said, crossing his arms and turning his nose up at his friend.

"I was gonna go to my moms, but my dad will be there and she said her door was open.. so I might walk through it.." He nervously said, glancing back into the bullpen.
