I was watching tv when my phone started to ring.
- Reiner?
- Hey! How are you? Look, tonight there's going to be live music here at Hard Rock Hitter, do you want to come?
- Hmm...
I didn't feel like going out. I already had plans for that night, which consisted of watching tv and eat ice cream until I fell asleep on the couch.
I looked down and saw a stain on my shirt that I hadn't noticed until now, and had no idea how I made it.
Just like waking up from a dream, I asked myself what have I been doing. Was I supposed to mop and feel bad for myself for the rest of my life?
I had to take a step to change this stagnated mind.
- If you're busy I understand... but I would really like it if you could make it. Well you don't have to answer right away. Send me a message later if you decide to go, alright?
- Alright.
I stared at the phone after I ended the call.
I think... I'll go.

By the time I entered the bar, I was surprised on how much livelier it was. Indeed, the nights were the best time for this place; every table had people talking, with the employes going around trying to serve everyone as fast as they could.
- (Y/n)! - Reiner said with a jovial smile. - You came! I thought you would send a message.
- Oh, sorry, I forgot...
- It's alright. What matters is that you're here. Come, I have a spot for us.
I followed Reiner to further in the back, where larger benches instead of chairs took place. I noticed there was a small stage, with a guitar and drums laying in position, waiting to be played.
- That dress really suits you.
- Ah thanks. So, who's going to performe tonight?
- It's just the same people... but they're really good, you'll see.
We had a few drinks while waiting for it to start. As the artists came into the stage, I realized who they were.
- That's... Porco, right? And that girl is Pieck.
- Yeah that's right. And the other guy in the drums is called Colt. He's Falco's older brother.
Their music started to fill the air and I couldn't help but notice the guitar, soaring and vibrating with every stroke. Pieck's voice was calm, yet captivating. Their alternative rock songs made me really loosen up and forget about all my worries.
At one point I figured I had had enough drinks for that night, so I started refusing every time Reiner offered to get me more. I wasn't one to get drunk, just wanted to feel a little lighter and not go over board. Him, however, didn't seem to know what limits were.
- Reiner, don't you think that's enough? - I asked with a dorky smile.
- Do you see this body? - he said while slaping on his chest. - it can tank anything. I can drink as much as I like!
- Well good for you for having that rocking body. - I looked at the watch - but it's getting late for me, so I'll be going.
- What, so soon? Stay a little longer!
- I really shouldn't. I'll come back some other time, alright?
- Alright... but at least let me take you home, it's a bit late for you to walk home alone.
