"Marinette, you will be able to leave the hospital in one week as long as you keep meeting with your therapist, Vixiana Monet-"

"Stop calling me by my full name, doc. You know good and well I prefer the name Vix." Marinette's therapist smiled walking into the room. The doctor nods and leaves the room.

"So Marinette," Vix said sitting down. Marinette admired her short thin brown hair cut and the way it flowed, Vix would be a beautiful model, "want to share more about this other reality?" The teenager nods. She knew the more she complied, the more chances she would have to return to Paris.

"Alright, walk me through your first day of school two years ago." Vix and Clair were both questioning the two, seeing how much their stories lined up, and to their surprise their interactions lined up almost identical.

"What was your connection to Mr. Agreste?" Vix asked the girl, braiding her hair. The more she was like the older sister, the more chances she had to get information out of the girl.

"Adrien was..." Marinette's hand rested on her lips as she thought on her next years, "close to me. He was Nino Lahiffe's best friend. Who was my best friend, Alya's girlfriend." Vix clicks her tongue, recalling the same response from Adrien in Clair's notes.

"Ok, what do you remember about Alya?" Vix asks, banding the end of the braid.

Marinette's voice cracked as she began to speak about her friends, her friends that probably don't remember her... Adrien doesn't remember her. "Alya was the most trustworthy friend I had. She was Rena Rouge,"

"Rena Rouge." Vix repeats, scribbling it in her notebook.

"She also was the author of the Ladyblog, the most successful écrivaine (writer) in Paris."

"I've never heard of Alya Césaire but I have heard of her mother." The therapist adds, removing herself from Marinette's bed and resting her back down on her pillow. Marinette didn't recall saying Alya's last name but then again her memory could be the most trustworthy right now. "Alright, that's the end of our session today!" Vix's heels click on the floor as she exits. "See you tomorrow, Marinette!" Marinette waved and Vix closed the door, her short hair moving with every swift movement she made.

Vix lifted her phone out of her pocket, heading into her office.

"Vix, hi!" Clair says on the other line, both of their notebooks resting in their hands.

"What did Adrien say about Marinette? Anything new?"

"He said she was a really good friend... that's really the only new thing about her that he shared." Clair admitted, sighing.

"You also asked about his life as Chat Noir today night? So I could ask about LB tomorrow?"

"Yes, yes. I will send you a photo of my notes. Ladybug was in love with another boy according to Adrien." Clair was eager to meet Marinette, Adrien was love sick and depressed, but as Vix described Marinette she was more levelheaded.

The teenage girl sat in her room, she had finally received phone privileges. She immediately went to google.

Adrien Agreste

Multiple recent articles pulled up. The word coma appearing multiple times.

Was Adrien in a coma too? What a coincidence?

Afraid, Marinette returned to the search bar. She couldn't dare look at photos of him.

Ladyblog

Marinette was disappointed when she found that the only thing under 'ladybug' was a blog made a while ago about basic ladybugs that seemed to have not gotten much love as it had three views. The girl sighed, nervously stroking her braid.

"I just want to go domicile (home)." Marinette whispered, a single tear falling down her cheek.

As if on queue Vix walks in, a pep in her step. "Good news~" she sang, slowly closing the door behind her, "you've been approved to go to Paris!" Vix felt a bit guilty when she saw Marinette's wet cheek, she wouldn't mention it. "And get this," She adds, sitting at the end of the girls bed, "I get to go with you!"

Was Marinette excited about this?

Meh.

Was she going to complain?

No.

"That's great, Vix!" Marinette yelped, embracing her therapist. Sure Marinette had only known her a few days and she was nosey, as Marinette knew... Vix was her only friend.

"Alright Mari, the physical therapist needs to make sure you have maintained all of your basic abilities and then in a week we will be in Paris!" With the same energy she entered with, Vix exited. Sighing after her exit. No. She couldn't feel guilty.

Adrien had recovered perfectly under the daring eyes of his father. He had already returned to his room, which might I add was lonely without the cheese loving, floating stomach.

The blonde sat at his computer desk, examining the photo of his mother. "Why are you here?" He whispered, looking the photo in the eyes. Yes, he loved his mother. He loved his mother with most of his heart, yet this wasn't lining up.

"Adrien, it is time for dinner." Nathalie informed the boy without knocking. Adrien shot back into his chair.

"Alright, Nathalie! I'll be down in a moment. Will you be joining us?'

"No Adrien.." she hesitates like she is about to say something else but then shuts her mouth. "Your parents are waiting." She shuts the door again and Adrien stands from his position on the chair. Tonight he planned on discussing going to school with his parents.

"Adrien!" His mother exclaims as he enters the dining hall.

"Hello, mère. Père," he nods before taking his seat at the table. The meal was definitely more hearty then what he was used to when his mother was gone. "There is something I want to ask you about tonight-"

His mother interrupts him, "DID YOU FIND A GIRLFRIEND?!" She asks excitedly. Gabriel chuckles.

"No mère." He shakes his head, laughing a bit. "I would like to attend regular school." He announces. He was expecting a sharp answer, but instead he got his mothers warm voice.

"Of course!" She exclaims, smiling. "I always thought it was sad that you had no interest in going to a public school!" His mother was ecstatic.

"But Adrien.." his father interrupts, "how will you be caught up?"

"I remember everything from the past two years, Père. If my grades slip you can take me out and catch me up here." Adrien urges. He wanted to go to school, see how it would look like without Ladybug and Chat Noir... without him. Would Nino be better off without him? Anxiety began to cause the boy to shake.

"Adrien!" A voice calls him back to his senses, "sorry!" he nervously smiles, taking a bite of his food. His mother smiles in response and Gabriels phone rings.

"Its Ms. Monet. I need to take this." His father stands and exits the room.

What could Gabriel want with Clair Monet?
