Chapter 3

Mushk had reached Rohan's home just now. Everyone was getting ready, there was a hustle-bustle. When she saw him, he looked handsome in his cream sherwani but what stood out the most was his smile maybe. He was radiating happiness and had a constant smile on his face.

Allah isse meri nazr na lage, yeh khush rahe bas mere begaar hi sahi. She prayed in her heart.
(Allah, please keep him happy even it means me being away from him.)

"Mushk yaar kidhar thi? Ajeeb idhr mujhe nervousness horahi hai. Main theek lag raha hoon. Pata hai meri Fariya se iss baare main can't hi nahi hwui. Bas ammi ki uski ammi se hwui hai. Yaar sab jaldi tu nahi horaha. Yaar Allah ki qasam itni Tu result ki bhi tension nahi hoti."
(Mushk where were you? I am feeling so nervous. Am I looking alright? You know I didn't get a chance to talk to Fariya about this. Just ammi talked to her mother. I swear I wasn't this nervous even on my result day.)

He said panicking.

"Rohan sahab ap ache lag rahe hain aur inshallah sab theek hoga. Ab chalyein."
(Mr. Rohan you are looking very good and inshallah everything would be alright. Now let's go)

She said and he smiled.

"Bhaii achi tu ap bhi lag rahi ahin waise also thank you for being here. Tum na hoti tu Allah jaane kya hota mera."
(nonetheless, you also look good I don't know what I would have done without you)

"Wohi hota Jo Manzoor e Khuda hota."
(it would happen as god's will)

"Hasi nahi ayi"
( It was not funny)

"Apka ka sense of humour margaya hai ab kidhar hasi ayegi"
(Your sense of humor has died how will you laugh?)

They were bickering when Rohan's mother entered.

"Arey tum log phir larna shuru hogaye jaana hai late horahi hai."
(You both started fighting again let's go we are getting late)

"Jee bas hum ready hain chalein."
(we both are ready let's go)

After 20 min they reached Fariya's house. Her parents welcomed them however they were looking uncomfortable.

They were seated in lounge when Fariya's parents left the lounge. Everyone was getting confused as to what is happening.

Who leaves guest like this also this was an important occasion.

"After sometimes her parents returned.

Kya hwua salma sab khariyat hai. Tum log mujhe pareshan lag rahe hoo. Kuch masla hai Tu batao."
(What happened Salma? Is everything alright? You guys seem troubled. If there is any problem tell us.)

Rohan's mother asked.

"Main batati hoon."
(I will tell)

Just then Fariya entered the room. She was dressed casually as if she was not ready for their arrival.

Why the hell is Fariya behaving so weird. Matlab ajj Shaadi ki date decides Karni hai and she looks like she is not interested.

"Mujhe yeh shaadi nahi karni main kesi aur ko pasand karti hoon."
(I don't want to marry him, I love someone else.)

That is where she dropped the bomb and everybody stood up in shock. Rohan went towards her.

"Fariya yeh buhat ghatiya Mazak hai please be serious."
(Fariya this is a very bad joke please be serious.)

"I am damn serious. Main Fahad ko pasand karti hoon, mujhe tum se shaadi nahi karni. Tum se engagement bhi sirf isliye ki thi ke usko jealous kar sakoon. Aur pata hai us ne mujhe propose bhi kardiya kal. Rohan, I am sorry but I love him. Main uses hi Shaadi karoongi. Mom dad bhi meri baat nahi man rahe. Main tum se shaadi nahi karoongi."

(I am damn serious. I love Fahad and I don't want to marry you. I only got engaged to you so that I can make him jealous. And you know what he proposed to me yesterday. Rohan, I am sorry but I love him and I will marry him only. Mom dad are also not accepting this. I am not marrying you.)

One-sided love hurts but betrayal in love is a next-level pain.

Everybody looked at her shocked. Rohan's eyes were blood red. He wanted to shout at her ask her so many questions so many.

But he managed to ask just one.

"Why?" He wispered

"Kyunke main usse muhabat karti hoon. Aur muhabbat main insaan sahi gala nahi sochta."
(because I love him and we don't see right and wrong in love)

And she ran away.

Ohh how wrong she was.

Everyone was rooted at their place when Rohan walked away, Mushk ran after him.

"Rohan Rohan yaar ruk jao"
(Rohan Rohan stop)

But he had already drove away in his car.
Mushk was so worried for Rohan and she kept calling him but he was not picking up.

Inside Fariya's parents kept apologizing on Fariya's behalf, but what is the use of crying over spilt milk.

Rohan's POV

He kept driving, he didn't even know where he was going. He just wanted to go somewhere far. When he stopped the car with jerk near the bridge and got down.
He opened few buttons of his suit because it was suffocating and he stood there looking at the sky and the river.

Kyun Fariya kyun. Kyun kiya aisa. Kya begara tha Maine tumhara. Kyun kiya.
(Why Fariya why? Why did you do this? What had I ever done to you? Why did you do this)

He was crying helplessly

Mana kardeti, mera is tarah istimaal kyun kiya. Kya mila yeh karke.
(you should have rejected me at first, why did you use me like this? What did you get from doing this?)

Fariya Asad was one selfish woman

Galti ki Jo Tumse Mohabbat ki
(I did a mistake by falling for you)

The sky and stars witnessed his painful agony and the night became a little darker than it already was.

He was so happy just a few hours ago, he was satisfied with having everything in his life and just a few hours ago life happened and here he was bared of everything that meant so many things to him.

Usse ajj mohabbat se nafrat hwui thi. Usse Fariya se nafrat hwui thi. Usse khud se nafrat hwui thi.
(He hated love today. He hated Fariya today. He hated himself today.)

That is what love is woh aabad karne se zyada barbaad karne ka qayal hota hai.
(That is what love does it ruins more than it brings peace.)
