They dragged her as if she had no feet to use for walking.

They dragged her like she was a sack of sand that would be used only to make a building. They dragged her as if she had no soul.

Her socks were already giving up,that even the soil could feel her bruised feet. The small stones could hear her every flinch but those people dragging her seemed heartless, they were like androids that were programmed only to carry the woman to her destination.

"Where are you taking me? Jarannya!!! Tell them that I am innocent!! Tell them! Save me don't do this to me,those things, they are not mine Jarannya, tell them please"

With heavy eyelids Yerein wiped her tears after remembering the scene where she begged helplessly, she pleaded but to no avail. Now here she was trying to decode what her ex-best friend wanted to say.

"If you talk, they might lessen the punishment." Jaranya sat on Yerein's jail bed while Yerein stood nearer to the fence of jail, holding the iron bar in a tight grip, trying to decipher how her life with just the simple ticktock of the clock turned into a nightmare.

Yerein tried to calm herself and slowly looked at her best friend"You betrayed me Jaranya" she half whispered and half shouted while making her eyes big enough to see clearly the traitor beside her, she observed the appearance of her best friend, she was beautiful in her military uniform. She wondered what was lacking in her that led her to commit this evil act. A great body, a beautiful face, and a smart mind, but despite having everything, she still felt that she didn't possess it all. She still needed to play with others' lives. Yerein answered her question. Yes, Jaranya was lacking something, she didn't possess a heart.

"It's not me who betrayed you, Yerein, your God betrayed you." Jaranya looked up and met Yerein's eyes; she saw the eyes full of sorrow but with her hijab still intact. She couldn't avoid thinking why this woman still acted like a normal Muslimah when her world was already turning upside down. Sometimes she questioned where Yerein's strong faith came from. She questioned why this woman was happy and content with her mundane life, why she was satisfied with her loveless world.
