Sebastian thought about it for a moment. A phone call surely wouldn't hurt.. right?

Waking up from a nap, he noticed that his voice is significantly deeper than how it usually is, making him think that she wouldn't recognize it if she really watched the interviews that he's in.

He anxiously chewed on his bottom lip as his thumb hovered over the call button, staring at it and thinking that the little symbol is basically taunting him. With a sigh, he pressed the button and listened as the phone rang, the noise suddenly getting replaced by the girl's oh-so familiar voice.

"I was starting to think that you bailed on me." He heard her say, a chuckle leaving his chapped lips as he shook his head, immediately speaking up once he realized that she can't see him.

"Nah, doll. I wouldn't leave a pretty girl hanging. I'm not that mean." he said flirtatiously, a bit shocked at the natural flirty tone that came out of his mouth.

"Good. You'll break my heart if you do." she retorted.

Sebastian found himself smiling at the response, finally relaxing his shoulders and speaking freely as a random conversation started.

The two pretty much talked about anything and everything. From figuring out how dolphins live to telling each other things that they never dared to say out loud before. It was comforting, really. To finally have a pair of non-judgemental ears listening to you. It's what the both of them needed.

It wasn't until 4 am when their eyes' started getting heavy. The lack of sleep from talking on the phone all night finally catching up to them.

"Hey, Seb?" She muttered, the phone barely picking it up but he managed to hear it. Sebastian hummed in response as he waited for her to speak.

"Thank you." She said, making his eyebrows raise.

"For what?"

"For listening. I really appreciate it, you know?"

Sebastian smiled, feeling his heart swell at the sweet statement. "Of course, doll. Anything for you."

"Goodnight, Sebby."

"Sebby? that a new nickname?" he asked with his brow raised, his eyes closing for a second before he heard her speak again.

"Mhm, I came up with it just now. A bit basic though, but it'll work for now. I'll brainstorm for some more when I wake up later, but it's bedtime so get your ass to bed." The girl finished off with a giggle. Sebastian quickly realizing how much he loves the sound of that, wanting to hear more of it in the future.

"Alright, i'll be expecting it tomorrow morning. Goodnight, sunshine." he said, not planning on hanging up. He wants her to be the one to do it.

"Okay, sleep well."

"Sweet dreams, love."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the call, is a smiling girl who can feel herself swoon at the man she was talking to. She hung up the phone after the silence took over their call, the girl finally putting the device down after almost 4 hours of endlessly using it to talk to a certain someone.

Sapphire stared at the ceiling as she pondered over the long talk that they had, feeling like a teenager who has a school girl crush all over again. She liked it though. As much as she didn't want to admit it, she liked how Sebastian made her feel. How he gets her all excited and giddy whenever his name would pop up in her notifications, or how his voice seriously has an effect on her. I mean who wouldn't? it's basically every girl's dream to have their man talk to them with that husky morning voice that she swears every man has. It's seriously a dream.

As she continued to think about it, she hoped that maybe, just maybe.. that they could work out.

And dear god did Sebastian hope for it to all work out as well.

i have really bad commitment issues and on top of that, i felt like this book is really bad and i just lost all motivation to write. i genuinely am really sorry for making u guys wait for so long :((
