Xina's pov
Few days later ***
Currently I'm sitting in a hotel room with a sleeping ryder next to me. After the flight we drove to a hotel. We are going to his parents house in a few hours.
What if they don't like me? What if they see me as one of his summer flings? I sighed and opened my book from where I left off reading. I was so engrossed in the book, I didn't feel the strong arm grabbing my waist and pulling me closer. I look over to him staring at me.
I roll my eyes and went back to my book. I tried refocusing and getting back into character with the book. But I couldn't with two striking blue eyes glaring into my soul. I looked over to see him still staring at me.
"What?" i asked annoyed, mad because he was distracting me
"Nothing, I just like to stare at beautiful people" He whispered while putting his hand on my cheek
I never blush. But in that moment, i was a cherry tomato. He noticed and got closer to my face
"What are you reading?" He asked, his eyes baring into mine
"Beautiful Creatures" I breathe out as his face inched closer to mine.
"Read to me" he said as he scoots away from me, lays down and pulling me on top of him so that i lay on my stomach on his chest. Shocked, I stared at him like he was mad in his head. He rolled his eyes and made a go on movement with his hand
I took a deep breath and started reading
"Even though she was in pain, she was beautiful. Her blue eyes were enormous. I couldn't figure out why they looked so different tonight. She had the longest eyelashes I had ever seen, and her skin was pale, even paler by the contrast of her wild orange hair. She didn't look like anybody i have ever seen. She was beyond beautiful. "
Ryder's pov
As she continues on to read, I stare at her. She was beautiful even though she held her pain silent. Her deep blue-green eyes were enormous with her long eyelashes. She continued to read and I felt myself drifting away. I really hope my parents love her.
She was right... She didn't look like anyone I'd ever seen. And she was beyond beautiful.
