"Raising Hell"

Kiara's memories were pretty much an added pain to her. She could only bottle up so much and label the bottle with jokes, sarcasm, and a forced smile. She'd always wanted for her life to mean more than getting up, being amazing only to sleep and do it all over again.

Yet, after everything she wanted to do something normal like tossing paper balls at Clary, when she's painting. Leading into a full-out war, with Simon playing peacekeeper (or though he dismissed the fact. He played both sides of the fight and sneakily attacking both cousins on his own). Then Luke letting her drive the squad car down a few streets.

Or pretend to be interested in Simon's long lectures on how he accurately predicted the ending of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, while she was actually thinking about how to get revenge on the girl who ridiculed Clary's height and flat chest. Only Kiara and Simon had the friend status and honor to do that.

Of course, she couldn't be Kiara Chase anymore. She had never been able to keep one identity, in all her life, since she left to the unknown, instead of her childhood home. Part of her wondered, how much longer would 'Kiara Fairchild' last, before she locked it in the skeleton filled closet, too.

"Ever wondered how you could see remnants of your memories, unlike Clary?" Magnus asked.

"Obviously." Kiara answered, through thin lips. She flinched when something soft and fluffy, flopped onto her lap. Kiara looked down, to be presented with pleasant company. "Chairman Meow." Kiara said, happily. Running her fingers along his fur and cuddling Chairman in her hold. The cat mewled lazily and relaxed. He was much bigger than he was in the memory. Magnus smiled but continued.

"Well, when you went to the Silent Brothers- "

"Wait how did you know that- "Alec started but Magnus shot him a look.

"I'm sorry, did the middle of my sentence, interrupt the beginning yours?" Magnus quipped, making Jace muffle a snort and the tips of Alec's to scowl. "Exactly." Magnus dismissed.

"Well how did you know?" Clary asked, in Alec's defense.

"I'm the High Warlock of Brooklyn and over the centuries I've collected many friends, including a Silent Brother." Magnus responded.

"And you still didn't try to contact us, when it was pretty clear what was happening to these two?" Isabelle questioned.

"Too many questions and very little time, Miss. Lightwood," said Magnus, "And I have almost every warlock under my authority, protected in here. Do you want me to list how many problems that could and have occurred while trying to oversee Kiara and Clary?" When none interrupted him this time, he finally set forth with his explanation.
