--Lydia's POV--
"Lydia?" I hear Geoffrey say.
"Huh? What?" I quickly respond.
"You okay? You seem, distant." He stares at me.
"Oh yeah I'm just hungry." I chuckle.
He laughs back.
I can't believe this. I'm on a date with my boyfriend but I don't feel like it. I feel like I'm just hanging out and I can't stand it.
Finally the food arrives. I keep my attention on my food the rest of the time. Then as we're leaving of course Geoffrey speaks up,
"So um how's Josh?" I almost choked.
"Huh?" I mumbled back.
"There's a famous celebrity that you know in town. I'm sure you've seen him." He says.
"Yeah um, he's staying at my house." As say as we get to the car.
"What's he in town for?" He asks.
"He didn't say actually." I shrug.
"I thought you said he stopped talking to you." Geoffrey said.
"He did, but he's trying to make up for it." I said.
"By doing what exactly?" He asks.
"Just hanging out." I say.
Then we reach my house.
"You know he seemed to like you a lot." He says but he won't look at me.
"I'm sure he doesn't anymore." I say.
"Y-Yeah but, you were in love with him." He says.
"Everyone is 'in love' with their favorite celebrity." I say putting my hand on his shoulder.
"But not all of them get to meet their favorite celebrity." He pushes my hand away.
"Just because we met doesn't change who he is, and the fact he could have anyone." I say a little bit hurt.
"But he's obviously into you." Geoffrey finally looks at me.
"We're just friends Geoffrey." I say.
"That doesn't mean you don't want to be with him." He mumbles.
I opened my mouth but nothing came out. Was he right? This is confusing me.
"G-Geoffrey." Was all I could say.
"You can't even deny it." He shook his head in disgust.
"Geoffrey I'm with you." I said reassuringly.
But I guess I wasn't to convincing because the next thing that was said I'll never forget. He looked me in the eye and said,
"Not anymore."
"W-what?" I mumble.
"Please just go." He said.
I didn't say another word. I got out of the car slamming the door behind me. I walked off still trying to process what had just happened.
I got inside, kicked off my shoes, and started balling my eyes out. I didn't care who was here or not.
"Oh my god, Lydia." Josh runs up to me.
Josh...
"You ruined everything." I grit my teeth.
"Huh?" He said confused.
"Get out of the way." I pushed him and ran to my room. I figured my dad wasn't here.
I laid down on my bed crying into my pillow. I just laid their trying to catch my breath.
*20 minutes later*
--Josh's POV--
I held the cold bowl in my hand as I lightly knocked on Lydia's door.
"C-Can I come in?" I ask.
She hesitated but finally said,
"Whatever."
So I opened the door. She was laying facing the ceiling on her bed. Her face still had tear stains.
"I brought you ice cream." I said shutting the door.
"Is that what men think? All women want is food when they're sad?" She says.
"Well then I'll eat it myself." I shrug.
"No, no I want it." She sits up and I laugh.
"Here." I smile handing it to here.
"Thanks." She smiles weakly back.
"Will you tell me what happened?" I asked.
"Geoffrey dumped me." She mumbled.
"Oh I'm so sorry." I wrapped my arms around her neck and she put her head in my neck.
"He said that I wanted to be with you and that I'm in love with you." She began crying again.
"Shh it's okay." I try to calm her down as I rubbed circles on her back.
