--Lydia's POV--
"It's so good to see you!" He smiles.
"Uh yeah right." I nod nervously.
"How are you?" He asks.
"Um I'm good, I was just out with my boyfriend." I make it clear.
"Oh..." He mumbles.
"Yeah." I nod.
"Well, I'm in town and I don't have anywhere to stay." He says.
"What about every single hotel within a hundred miles." I'm just kidding, I didn't really say that.
"Oh, well we have an extra room." I try to be nice.
"That's so awesome. I'll get to catch up with you." He smiles.
"Right." I nod.
"And I promise I won't you know... barge in on your love life." He says.
"Yeah it's cool, well I'm going to bed. Uh glad you're back. Goodnight." I rush to my bedroom.
I get to my room and begin freaking out. Why is he here? He can't be here. You have no idea what happened between us after he left.
*Flashback* (3 weeks after he left)
I hear my laptop buzzing from my desks. I smile as I read the video chat request from Josh. I click accept and his face pops up.
"Hey Lydia." He smiles.
"Hey." I wave.
"How've you been?" He asks.
"I've been better, but I'm alright." I smile.
"That's good." He smiles.
"It's funny you called just I as got home." I chuckle.
"Home from what?" He asks.
"Oh I was just out." I shrug.
"Out with who?" He cocks an eyebrow.
"Just Geoffrey." I say.
"Are you guys like... Dating?" He asks.
"No, buts he's really sweet and he's helping me a lot." I smile.
"I can't believe this." He shakes his head.
"What are you talking about?" I cock an eyebrow.
"I though you liked me..." He sighs.
"You're a famous celebrity I've always dreamed of being with you, but I'm obviously getting in the way." I say.
"But I really like you." He sighs.
"I'm sorry Josh, you're gonna have to fine someone else." I hung up and turned off my computer.
*End of flashback*
We haven't talked since that. No texts, calls, no nothing. Now he's here. I grab my phone and dial Melissa's number.
"Hey what's up?" She answers.
"Melissa I'm freaking out." I say.
"Why what happened? What did Geoffrey do? I'll break his neck!" She begins babbling on.
"No, no he didn't do anything." I sigh.
"Then what happened?" She asks.
"Josh is back in town." I mutter.
"Oh..." She says.
"W-What do I do?" I begin to panic.
"It's okay, calm down. Everything's gonna be alright." She says.
"And what if it's not?" I ask.
"It will be, I promise." She says.
"I'm still freaking out." I bite my bottom lip.
"Just take a deep breath." She says. I do so.
"Now what?" I ask.
"Now, you need to sleep. You're probably tired." She says.
"You're right, thanks."I nod even though she can't see me.
"I'll talk to you in the morning, okay?" She says.
"Okay." Wow my best friend and I just had a TFIOS moment.
"Goodnight Hazel Grace." She jokingly chuckles.
"Yeah, yeah whatever goodnight." I chuckle and hang up.
I sigh and fall face first onto my bed. What am I going to do? I decide Melissa was right, I'm gonna have to get to sleep.
--Josh's POV--
"She hates me Jen." I sigh into the phone.
"Oh come on it can't be that bad." She says.
"It is, they way she looked at me proved it." I groan falling onto the guest bed.
"What did she say?" Jennifer asks.
"Not much, but it was just the way she looked at me." I say.
"Well, you haven't talked to her for a while. I would feel the same if I was in her shoes." She says.
"Thanks, that helps." I mutter sarcastically.
"Welcome. But seriously, she just needs to warm up to you again." Jennifer says.
"Urgh. I'm so stupid. I'm gonna go, sorry for bothering you Jen." I say.
"Nah it's cool. Bye Josh, good luck." She hangs up the phone.
This is gonna be hard to do...
