Hello my little ingots! Silver here! So, the votes are in and you the readers chose to go up the ladder! Heh, it was tied for a while, meaning I was either gonna choose what Reader-Chan did or I was gonna wait till someone else voted. Luckily, someone voted right before I took down the link! Props to whoever that was! Anyways, here’s Chapter 4! Hope you enjoy!

“Let’s go up the ladder. We want to get out of here and I have a feeling that going down would lead us to a basement or something…” You responded and the two nodded, agreeing with your statement. Walking up to the ladder, you turned around and motioned to Felix,

“Ladies first.”

Mark snickered and Felix posed, saying in a sassy voice.

“Girl, I’m fabulous!”

You and Mark burst out laughing as Felix made his way up the ladder, shaking his butt as he climbed. Rolling your eyes, you went next, Mark soon following. The ladder ascended into darkness, and you couldn’t see the top of it as you climbed, meaning it could go on for a while. The ceiling of the floor you were just on came closing in, boxing the three of you in and cutting off any light that came from below.

“Well, this isn’t ominous at all.” You heard someone say, however, due to the close proximity, you couldn’t quite tell who it was. You snorted in response and continued the climb, arms soon aching.

“I think I see a light up there!” You assumed it was Felix who said that, seeing as how he was the one who went first and would be the only one able to see the light. Grinning, the three of you climbed faster and soon reached the light. However, when you stepping off the ladder and on to the wooden floor, you got a small surprise.

“Mark? How did you get ahead of me and Felix?”

Mark turned, surprised. “I honestly don’t know… Where is Felix anyways? Shouldn’t he of climbed up here by now?” Your eyes widened and you whirled around, bending down to look down the way you came.

“Felix?!”

Hearing no response come from the darkness, you turned back to Mark, worry etched onto your face. “I don’t think he’s down there… Where did he go?” Mark frowned in thought.

“I don’t know. There wasn’t anywhere he could’ve gone that I know of. Maybe he fell?”

“Mark, if he had fallen he would’ve landed on me. I highly doubt he fell.”

“Right… Well, I think we should wait a few minutes to see if he comes up.”

Nodding in agreement the two of you got comfortable on the floor, sitting on opposites walls facing each other.

“Who else do you think is here?” You ask quietly, wondering who else was trapped in the castle.
