Secretly In Love

Chapter 6

I hear my alarm go off. I roll over and turn it off. It's 6am. I reluctantly get up. I make my bed and open up my window to get some fresh air. I change into a grey sports bra and grey joggers. I go downstairs and make myself a protein drink. When it's done I go outside for a run since I wasn't going to be compound to train today.

I was running down my usual path when a familiar voice called out: "On your left."

I looked over my left shoulder and saw Steve running next to me.

"Hey Y/n." He says.

I smile and start to run faster.

"Oh really?" He smirks.

He runs after me. I see him catching up. My shoe unties and I trip over it. I hear Steve laugh as he passes me. I scowl at him and get back up. I tie my shoe and start to run again. When I finish I see him sitting on a bench right outside of the park.

"You finally caught up to me." He says.

"What are you doing up at this hour. I thought you would be passed out still." I say.

"I don't usually take this path. I usually run at a different park. And I'm never asleep at this hour." He says.

I open the cap to my bottle and take a sip.

"Why are you out here this early?" Steve asks me.

"I'm not going to the compound for a couple of days and I wanted to get some exercise." I reply.

"Why aren't you coming?" He asks.

"Me and Peter are just really tired and don't want to go there everyday." I respond.

"Ok." Steve says getting up. "If we have a mission I'll let you know."

"Ok." I say.

"Well there's my ride." He says.

I turn around and see a black car pull up. The driver rolls down the window. It's Nat. I put my head down and walk away.

"Hey Nat." Steve says. "Thanks for picking me up."

"Yeah your welcome." She says. "Hey what were you doing with Y/n?"

"Nothing I just went for a run over here today and saw her."

Nat nods and drives off. I watch them leave and job back home. When I got home it was 7:15. I took my keys off from around my neck and hung them up. I wash my hands and go to my room to take a shower. When I finish I wrap my hair in a towel and dry myself off. Then I put on my robe and go downstairs to make breakfast before I leave.

"Hey sis." Peter says.

"Morning Pete." I say. "Do you want me to make you breakfast?"

"No I'm going out with Ned and MJ and we are getting breakfast." He calls.

"Ok." I say.

I make myself a bowl of Lucky Charms and sit down to eat. When I finish I wash my dishes and go upstairs to change. I curl my hair and brush my teeth. I put my makeup on and grab my clothes. I put on a black skinny strap crop top and and loose black jeans. I put on a black and grey flannel over my outfit. I walk downstairs and grab my keys.

"Bye Peter." I call. "I'm going to the mall with Wanda I'll be back soon."

"Wait Y/n can you take me there?" Peter asks. "Ned can't pick me up and MJ is already there."

"Sure." I say. "Hurry up."

"Thanks." He says and follows me out to the car.

We drive to the mall and I drop him off. I go to find a parking spot.
