The sun was at its peak, its rays forcing tiny droplets of sweat to cover her forehead. She didn't let the heat ruin her perfect day though. She wiped her brow, savoring the sweet smell of the tulip she held at her nose. She loved the smell of flowers, but to her tulips took the cake. Her head turned north and south, east and west, as she took in her surroundings. She loved coming here, to this place of magic and beauty. A sea of nothing but the most magnificent flowers from all over the universe surrounded her. She was completely closed in on all sides by miles upon miles of flowers.

She let out a satisfied sigh as she lay on her back and closed her eyes. The sun was bright red through her eyelids and she sat there in total bliss for a few minutes until a shadow came over her. When she opened her eyes she could not see. The tulip in her hand, as well as all of the other flowers surrounding her had disappeared. She felt around in the pitch black wondering where she was. Not only was it dark, but it was cold. Very cold.

"Hey," came a voice.

"Who's there?" she called back.

"Hey, wake up."

And then her eyes truly opened. She woke to the sight of her elder sister leaning over her with a gentle smile. Her day was about to begin. And her tulips would have to wait until tonight.
