I Can't Give Up On Him

Chapter 1

There were many things that Rose Weasley didn't like about herself. She didn't like her freckles the most because they almost covered her face. She always tried to find ways to get rid of them, but failed. Well, after that she stopped trying. And the second thing that she hated the most was Divination. Does Divination even makes any sense? She always thought.

Rose sat on the chair and ate chocolate frog which she got as a birthday present from Hugo. To be honest, she expected something big from him. But, ended being disappointed. Her mother bought her some books, like usual. And her father bought him a new broomstick. That was the best present so far.

The door knocked and Ron hurried to open it. Rose saw Uncle Harry, Aunt Ginny, James, Albus, Lily and.... Scorpius? What was Scorpius doing here? She was just wearing her night dress. What if he tells her that she looks ridiculous? No... No...No..

She moved herself away from her thoughts and saw as Ron glared at Scorpius but, didn't say anything. "Happy Birthday, Rose" wished Lily. Everyone wished her and gave her gifts. She got a broomstick repair kit from Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny, a book named 'My awesome cousin' from James, a perfume from Lily, a small red bracelet with roses printed on it from Scorpius. And... Marauder's Map!? Yes, Marauder's Map from Albus. She looked at Albus shocked.

"Don't think that I gave it to you willingly. James stole my galleons so, I had no choice. But, when I need it you should give it to me" Albus said as he bit his lips. Rose smiled and nodded as a yes.

"And Scorp, when did you reach here?" she asked. Scorpius blinked and replied," Rose, I spent my holidays at the Potter's because my father had to go somewhere out for the Ministry. So, no one was there at the Manor. I am still surprised that he agreed to let me stay. And, are you ready for Hogwarts?".

"Yeah, I bought all the things needed yesterday" Rose answered. Rose, Albus and Scorpius were now in 6th year of Hogwarts. Lily was in 4th and James had completed the school. His training for becoming an auror was about to start. "Kids, come here and eat food first" called Hermione who had a hard time cooking because, she was busy thinking about some major Ministry issue.

Everyone sat on the chairs across the table. "So, was she truly seen?" asked Harry Potter. "Yes Harry.... I saw her from my own eyes. Don't know how she survived and what was she waiting for all these years" told Hermione as she sighed. Ron gently put his hand on her's, trying to comfort her. "What are you all talking about?" asked James filled with excitement. "None of your business. It's a Ministry's affair" said Harry who began to eat. "Well, I am going to be an auror soon. So, it's my right to know what's happening in the Ministry" told James in a bit of loud and cold voice. "Don't argue, James" said Ginny. He stared at her angry eyes and sighed.

After eating the food, Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny sat in a room talking about something that seemed really serious. "Let's fly broomsticks" said James. "Yes, it would be my final practice for the Quidditch trials. Rose, you will have to select me. Scorpius trained me hard" Lily told. Rose was made the Quidditch Captain last year. Wait... Scorpius trained her? Couldn't Albus or James train her?

"Oh.. Well, let's see if you are capable for it" said Rose. There was an awakward silence for a minute but, then James headed everyone out of the house.

An hour later, after flying and practicing. Rose realized that Lily was really good. But, she has to see other students too before selecting Lily. She heard as Uncle Harry came outside and said that it was time for them to go back. Rose waved at them as she saw them leaving.

After a while, she realized that she didn't finish reading Hogwarts: A History and there was only a week left to go to Hogwarts. So, she quickly hurried up to her room. And, to her surprise she saw Hugo doing the muggle sport called Gymnastics. "So, you didn't come downstairs because you had to do this boring muggle sport?" she asked. "What? Everyone missed me?" he asked looking a bit surprised. "No one even asked if you were there" said Rose and picked up her book. "That's really rud.... good" said Hugo as he lowered his voice. "What happened to you? Have you lost it?" asked Rose. "Noo... Octavia likes calm boys and the boys who like Gymnastics" he said calmly. "Oof- Octavia, again" said Rose and moved downstairs to read the book.

Time flows like water, today was the day when she had to go back to Hogwarts for her 6th year. She was really excited for the next studies. But, worried that it would be difficult to be a Prefect and Quidditch Captain at the same time again. As she had to miss a few classes last year because of her duty.

Rose saw Mavis Longbottom, her friend moving towards her on the platform. "Rose, Long time no see" said Mavis as she hugged her tightly. Both of them chuckled. "I am sitting on the back with Polly. See you at Hogwarts" said Mavis as she entered the train.

"They. Are. So. Late." said Hugo. "You are just excited to meet Octavia, just calm down boy" said Rose. "Octavia? Who?" asked Ron in a dead look. Hugo stared at Rose as she giggled.

"There they are" said Rose to distract them and pointed at a side. The Potters and Scorpius made their way towards the Weasleys. Rose stared and stared as she saw both Scorpius and Lily holding hands. Jealousy? Was this this emotion? Or not? Did they two fell for each other or what? Holding hands? Why? Rose clenched her fist. Numerous thoughts filled her mind. What if Scorpius fell in love with Lily? What will she do? Will she be happy for her cousin or sad about her crush having a girlfriend?
