I Can't Give Up On Him

Chapter 7

The next morning, while Rose was eating breakfast at the Gryffindor table, two letters fell near her plate. She noticed that Albus, Scorpius and Hugo also received a letter. So, it was probably of their detention. She opened the envelope. Yes, it was detention's letter only. It said:

To Rose Weasley,

Your detention will begin today   after the classes. You have to go to the Trophy Room.

That seems like she had to polish those trophies, like Ron did in the second year. She opened the next letter.

Dear Rose,

It's me Ron. What did that pure blood say that night? Just stay away from him. He is not worthy of your trust. Remember what I told in your first year. 'YOUR GRAND FATHER WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU FOR MARRYING A MALFOY'. And, so your father. Hope you will understand. Write me back!
Love, Dad

There he begin again. Now, she had to write back to him and tell him that Scorpius was, sadly in relationship with Lily. This was so....

"What have got in today's detention?" asked Albus who marched towards Gryffindor's table. "Trophy Room" she replied. "Oh- Scorpius got the same. I have to go and arrange some books in library" told Albus. "I also have to go to the library" said Hugo. "Then, we will go together, Ginger" said Albus. "Don't call me ginger" told Hugo. Rose peeked towards the Slytherin table. There was Scorpius sitting next to Lily. Before she could think of that, a voice came from behind," Ma'am my classes!?". It was Luka. "Oh- I forgot about that again. Let's meet after Quidditch tomorrow. And, don't forget" replied Rose.

The classes soon finished, it was time for detention. Rose made her way towards the trophy room. "I love you too, Lily" she heard a male voice in the halls. Was it Scorpius? No, it was not him! It was not his voice. Rose hurried towards the voice. There, she saw Lily kissing Lysander. "LILY!" Rose yelled. The both of them jumped and quickly looked at her. "What is this? Are you cheating on Scorpius?" asked Rose coldly. "Yes, I am" replied Lily and mouthed Lysander to go away from there. And, he left.

"KINDLY EXPLAIN" said Rose in a loud tone. "I love Lysander and there is nothing to explain" replied Lily. "Scorpius!? What about him?" asked Rose. "I don't care" replied Lily. "What? Lily, then why did you start a relationship with him?" asked Rose. "To Revenge You" replied Lily. There was an awakward silence for a moment. "I know you love him. That's why I did it. To make you feel worse. I honestly, don't have anything to do with that stupid Malfoy" said Lily. "And, how long are you planning to act?" asked Rose surprised. "As long as he hates you fully" replied Lily. There was another awakward silence for a moment. Rose thought for a minute. Her father's letter. She had to do it. She had to make a bad image of herself in front of Scorpius. Unwillingly, she had to.

"What are you doing there, Rose? Detention is starting.... Lily, you are there too!" called Scorpius from at the end of the hall. "Yes" replied Lily coldly and went away. "What's wrong with her? I will ask her later. And, Rose... Come fast" said Scorpius and went inside the trophy room. Full of thoughts, Rose hurried to the trophy room.

After about three years like hours, their detention was finally over. The both of them moved out of the room. "Scorpius, I want to tell you something" said Rose. "Yes, what is it,  Rosie?" he asked. "Break up with Lily" she replied. There was complete silence. Scorpius stopped walking. "Why?" he asked. "I-I think she is not right for you. She is cheating you and you will probably end up broken" warned Rose. "Rose, I can't believe you. You are saying this against your cousin" said Scorpius. "I told you the truth, it will be good if you believe me" told Rose. "SHUT UP, WEASLEY. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FILTHY MIND? HOW CAN YOU SAY THESE THINGS ABOUT YOUR COUSIN" shouted Scorpius. "Ok-Okay. I should not have warned you and I don't wanna see a death eater like you" said Rose and walked away with tears in her eyes. She did what his father wanted her to.

She didn't want to start another scene in the common room. So, she wiped her tears and went inside. The room was as usual filled with chit chat. Rose headed towards a table and took a quill and started writing to her father.
She wrote:

Dear Dad,

It's me Rose. I got your last letter and yes, I am no longer talking to Scorpius. I don't want to disappoint you or grandfather. And, I wanted to tell you that Scorpius already has a girlfriend. And, I have also started to like Luka Finnigan.
Love, Rose

At night, Rose spent the time crying silently. It was pretty hard. Next morning, she went to the owlery to give her owl the letter. She watched as the owl flew away. She was busy thinking how happy her father will be when he receive the letter that, she didn't notice that Scorpius was there too. She accidently bumped into him. "I'm so-" she cut of the sentence when she looked at who he was. The both of them, didn't talk about anything just went towards their own way.

After the classes and Quidditch finally, it was Luka's time. "Rose, my Patronus" he said and winked. Rose nodded. "Are you learning the Patronus charm?" asked Hugo. Luka nodded. "Oh" he replied and went away. Rose and Luka decided to practice the charm in the pitch only.

"Okay so, think of a happy memory. The happiest you can remember and perform the charm by saying, Expecto Patronum" told Rose. Luka nodded. He tried many times but, it didn't work. Of course it will be a surprise if you perform the charm at once. Days went away. And, Luka learned how to perform it. His patronus was a dog. Rose and Luka slowly and slowly became good friends. Rose still ignored Scorpius.
