Sebastian slashed out unexpectedly at the demon, turning it into ashes in an impetuous attack of blind rage.
The seraph blade shone as Sebastian cleaned it of the dark ichor and set it back in it's scabbard.

Then, she drew the final rune, 'open' and the portal blazed a brilliant blue. She threw all of her concentration at trying to locate Simon.

Then, she jumped in the blue.
And landed face first into a canal.
It was like that time in Idris, when the portal had dumped her and Luke right into Lake Lyn.
Only, this time, there was no one to save her.
She choked and spasmed and was too shocked to do anything as she sunk to the bottom of the canal. She punched the water as she felt her lungs collapse.
Then, a powerful pair arms circled her waist and pushed her upwards.
She was loosing consciousness, she could feel reality slip away from her grasp.
She saw blond-white hair, Sebastian, she thought as her grip on life loosened and the darkness invaded her.
