Maya's POV
"You two are late!" Mr. Henderson yells while scribbling something on the white board.
"Sorry sir, we were in a bike accident," Louis says loudly.
I nod slightly and try not to notice all the other student's eyes on me and Louis as we breathe heavily in the door way.
Mr. Henderson rolls his eyes, obviously not believing our story despite it being true.
He turns around and picks up the seating chart before motion to an empty chair next to the wall and saying, "Fane, you're sitting over there. Eggers, over there." He points to the other side of the room at an empty chair next to the window.
We both hurry to our seats and I take out my pen and paper.
The girl sitting next to me won't stoop staring at me and it's starting to get on my nerves.
"Can I help you?" I ask quiet enough so only she can hear.
At first she seems a bit shocked that I said anything to her but quickly replies with, "Oh I'm sorry if I weirded you out, I just think you're really pretty."
I can't help but smile at that. "Thanks, you're pretty too."
She just shakes her head and chuckles.
-.-
It's break time and everyone is taking out their lunches. Of course, I was in such a hurry this morning I forgot to pack something so I'm just sitting there quietly looking out the window.
"You want some?"
I turn my head and see the girl holding out a bag of flavor blasted gold fish inches from my face.
"Uh, sure. Thanks."
I take a small hand full of gold fish and eat them slowly.
"So what's your name?" The girl asks perkily.
"I'm Maya. What's yours?" I ask sheepishly.
"My name's Jessica. Nice to meet you by the way."
Right as I'm about to reply, I'm interrupted by Louis parking his bum on my desk.
"Hey Scrambled Eggers," he laughs at his stupid attempt to be funny.
Louis and I have a dumb conversation about how we think Mr. Henderson is really some evil creature sent from the future to bore us to death with lectures and tests.
Throughout the conversation I look over at Jessica who's just gawking at Louis like he's some kind of God.
I don't know why, but I really didn't like the way any of the girls in class looked at him.
But there's something about him that bugs me too. Maybe it's the way he is a little too aware of how popular he is. Yeah, that's probably it.
When Louis goes back to his seat and to his friends Jessica grabs my arm. "How do you know Louis Fane?!" she whisper shouts.
I give a small shrug. "Like we said before, we got into a bike accident. Our bikes crashed together."
"It's like in a movie!" Jessica's getting a little over excited.
Then Mr. Henderson walks back in and starts class up again.
-.-
Class ends and everyone runs off campus. Everyone else is gone by the time I'm done packing up and get to my bike.
It's a nice day so I figure I'll walk my bike home instead of riding it.
Liam's POV
"I think Louis' class just ended, go meet up with him to make sure he gets home safely, Liam."
