"Could you perhaps rephrase that?" The bluenette rised a brow and tilted his head in confusion, having trouble with processing this information which was odd for Kagami as he never had trouble with comprehending anything
The black teal tipped male slowly stopped strumming his fingers against the strings of his guitar to respond to the bluenette's request and hummed for a moment, thinking of ways to explain it in a better way and decided to use the old fashioned 'seven words and twenty letters'
"I said, I'm in love with you' Luka spoke in a geniune tone, staring directly at his eyes as placed his hands on Kagami's cheek in a gentle manner, The bluenette's pale skin was lightly adroned with freckles that spread across his cheeks
The more he stared at him
The deeper he fell in love
The chocolate-eyed male had to blink twice, taking a moment to register those sweet words that came out from Luka's mouth
In the end, The corner of his lips twitched and felt extremely irritated with the confession as he had trouble accepting the love declaration "You what?!"
"You actually love someone like me?!"
Once the bluenette raised his voice, Luka closed his mouth and quickly retracted his hand in surprise, staying silent for the time being
The silence between them felt uncomfortable, It was defeaning, making Kagami regret raising his voice but that was due to shock
He didn't think this silly musician would love a stoic fencer
For what seemed like an eternity has passed them, The guitarist broke out into a one-eyed chuckle at the fencer's reaction, His soft yet genuine laughter rang around the room "You act as if you never heard that before"
"Thats because It is" The bluenette voice softened now, growing quiet with each word and glancing him with a dejected expression which made the black teal-tipped boy feel a bit guilty for laughing and thought that Kagami might have gotten the wrong idea
"I never had someone confess to me like that.." The japanese male admitted and lowered his head down as if it was a shameful thing.
He did love the Luka but It was just complicated
'Sh*t, Kagami must have thought I was poking fun at him-' Luka thought and felt like panicking as he should have known how troubling it was to accept love, something that Kagami probably wasn't given in his whole life
'That probably explains the reason why his acting like this-' The guitarist was only laughing earlier since he found his crush's reaction to be adorable and his feelings for the shorter male was actually genuine
"Wait, Does that mean I'm your first-?" Luka blurted out, finally having that realisation
Kagami sheepishly nodded, a warm shade of red appreading on his cheeks as he felt flustered while still being confused by this foriegn feeling
"If thats the case" Luka smile softly as be slithered his hands across Kagami's waist and pulled him towards his chest, closing the distance between them "Than I promise to treat you right" His voice was soft, as a way to tell the other male that theirs no need to fret and that his intentions are pure as all Luka wanted in this world was to make his beloved to be comfortable and hope he'll slowly learn to love this newly found feeling
With that, Luka leaned in forward and pressed his lips against Kagami's soft ones
Not before mumbling
"I love you"
