chapter 7

Emilys pov

"Okay, so we know that he is keeping Reid in some sort of cabin.." Hotch paused. "Garcia! Does Tobias have any cabins in his name?"

Garcia of course went to typing to find the answer and i went to sit with JJ and see how she was doing. I was worried about her.

"Hey Jen.." i said. "You okay?"

"Oh, um, yeah. Yeah." JJ said looking up to me. I knew she wasn't, but before i could say anything Garcia yelled at us.

"Okay! So there isn't a cabin is Tobias's name, but there is a cabin in his fathers name!" She said to everyone. "And get this! There's a grave yard right next to it!"

"Ok, lets go! Garcia send us the adress!" Hotch yelled as we all ran out the door.

JJ and I drove in one car, while Hotch, Rossi, and Morgan drove in the other. I know i shouldn't bring this up right now, but i really couldn't help myself.

"Hey Jen.." i took a deep breathe. "We really do need to talk.."

"Em please" JJ sighed.

"JJ, we do. When else are we going to talk?"

"Not right now!" She snapped.

"Ok.." I kept on driving to the cabin where hopefully Reid was at.

JJs pov

I wish Emily didn't bring up that point of where we kissed because all I was worried about was getting to Spence and hoping he was okay.

The drive took about 25 minutes, but we finally made it and i was dying to get to Spence.

"Ok, JJ and Emily go to the back where the grave yard is, everyone else search the house." Hotch told everyone.

Before anyone could go anywhere we all heard a gun go off and we all sprinted to the back.

"Spencer!" I yelled as we came up to him.

Soon we all relized that Spence wasn't the one who got shot and he was the one who fired to the shot.

Just before we were leaving Spencer wanted to be alone for a few minutes, I didn't know what he was doing, but i didn't wanna push it so i left it alone.

Once he was done Hotch helped him into the car and I drove with them. I needed to talk to him.

"Spence." I began. "I am so sorry.."

"JJ, it's okay really. Im the one who pushed to going seperate ways." He said, and i mean he wasnt wrong.

"I know that Spence, but i should've done more to stay with you." I say with some tears in my eyes.

Spencer pulled me into a hug, and i guess he was caught in the moment because he tried to kiss me.

"Spencer what the hell!" I yelled.

"JJ.." he tried to say, but i cut him off.

"No, Spencer you know i like Emily." I was pissed and thats when i remembered that Hotch was still driving the car.

Damnit. I thought to myself, Hotch heard and saw all of this.

"You're right, im sorry, it's just.." he tried to find the right words, and i was waiting impatiently for him to speak.

"Its just, i know you like Emily, but you used to like me, so why not now?" He asked and i gave him a straight forward answer.

"Because i like Emily Spence.."

"I understand." Was all he could say.

The rest of the drive was an akward silence, Hotch hasn't said a word at all the whole drive.

Hotch dropped Spence off and then we headed to Emilys to my moms to pick up Henry.

I opened my mothers door and Henry was standing there with a huge smile.

"Mommy!!" He yelled as i picked him up.

Me and my mom are still not on good terms, so i took Henry and left. Hotch started to drive to Emilys since he knew thats where i was staying.

"Hey Hotch, can you not tell the team about this conversation Spence and i had please." I say stepping out of the car.

"i wont." He gave me a reassuring nod before leaving.

I walked into the door and Emily was there sitting, waiting for me.

Emilys pov

"Hey JJ." I say as she walks through the door.

"Can we wait a sec, i need to put Henry down." She says walking up the stairs.

A few minutes pass and she comes back down the stairs. This is our chance to talk.

"JJ, we need to talk." I say. "About everything, mostly the kiss.."

"You're right, we do need to figure that out." JJ says agreeing with me.

"Jen, i like you.. a lot. And i would love to be your girlfriend, but i dont know where i stand for you. I dont know what that kiss ment for you, and i dont know if you like girls." I say hopping to get the response i want.

"Em.." she paused i guess trying to get the right words out. "I like you Em a lot. And Henry adores you so much. I want to be your girlfriend Emily."

I was over the moon with joy from that answer. Jennifer Jareau wants to be my girlfriend.

"So Jennifer Jareau will you go out on a date with me? This Saterday night?" I asked.

"Yes of course i will Emily Prentiss."

We hugged, then we both headed to bed. It was late and we were tired, real tired. So we just went to bed.

When i woke up, i got a text from Morgan. Guess he wanted to talk or whatever.

"Hey morgan whats up?" I asked when i got to him.

"So valentines day is coming up and i wanna run something by you for Savannah and me" he was serious about this.

"Okay, but why me? What about Garcia?" I asked.

"Just listen. I was thinking of taking her to the new sushi restaurant, since she loves seafood."

"Morgan, thats sounds great, but you didnt ask me to come just to talk about sushi." I joked.

"Okay fine, whats going on between you and JJ? Something going on i can tell."

"Okay fine, i asked JJ on a date this Saturday.." i smiled.

"What! Thats amazing!" He yelled.

I was so exited for this Saturday. It was valentines day and i get to go on a date with the girl i wanted to be with since i met her.

A/N: this chapter is shorter then the others and im sorry about that. Im really excited to write the other chapter and i can't wait. Hope y'all enjoyed it.
