Falling for you

chapter 8

JJs pov

Saturday came around and I was full of joy and happiness. Yet I still feel guilty for not telling Emily about Spencer and I's little I guess incident. 

I need to tell her, but I can't do it tonight, tonight is our date night and it's valentines day. I can't ruin her day just because of an incident that happened a few days ago. 

Suddenly I hear my phone buzz. 

Em
I can't wait for our date tonight! 

Me
Me too Em, see you soon. 

In a few hours Emily was going to pick me up and I was so excited. It took me hours to choose what to wear, but I decided on a simple white dress and some heels. I curled my hair and put on light make up. I wore small hoop earrings and waited for Emily to pick me up. 

I still had to wait about an hour before Em was going to pick me up, but that hour passed by fast since I was still debating whether to tell Em about Spencer or not. I just decided to wait and tell her another day. 

I heard a knock on the door. 

“Emily! You look beautiful!” I say opening the door. 

Emily really was beautiful, she was wearing a black dress with heels and her hair was natural. She was wearing light makeup and some earrings. 

“So do you JJ. Are you ready to go?” Emily asked standing in front of me. 

“Of course I am Em.” I walked out of my house. “Where are we going exactly?” 

“You will just have to find out.” she laughed. 

Emily knew i didn’t like surprises, but when it comes down to what she chose i already knew it was going to be great. But my mind kept going to that place a couple days ago in the car with Spence. Nothing happened, but something could've happened if I didn't stop it. I am glad I stopped it, but part of me wishes that I let something happen. 

I know that isn’t fair now because I am sitting in a car next to my date and I am the happiest right now. But Spencer was right, I used to like him, but I am over him. I am head over heels for Emily prentiss. 

“Jen? You ok?” Emily asks me. 

“Yeah, yeah i am fine.” I smiled. 

Emily and I didn’t talk much the rest of the ride, I didn't know what to say. We drove for about 10 more minutes before we got to a small little diner. It was adorable. 

“Oh my god Em! Where did you find this place!?” I said as we both walked inside. 

We got seated and somebody came by to ask what we wanted to drink. 

“Hi, my name is Hannah and I will be your waiter today.” she says. “What can I get you both to drink?"

“Can i please have ice tea?” i asked. 

“I will have the same thing.” Emily says. 

Hannah left and Emily and I just talked for a little. 

“Jen?” Emily asked. “Where is Henry? You and your are still not talking.”

“Oh, Penelope offered to watch him.” i say. 

“She knows we’re on a date tonight?”

“Yeah, is that a problem?” I was confused. 

“No, no it’s not at all.” she laughed. 

A few minutes later our drinks came and we ordered our food. Our food came and we ate for about an hour. We decided to leave and pick Henry up and spend time with him as well.
