ITS GAME DAY.
Gameee day. My brother called me all way from L.A. wishing me luck and that he'll be watching it live. He refused to come with me so he could stay with his best friend. Like is he crazy for not coming? But either way I'm super stoked.
I didn't sleep a wink, yet I dont feel tired whatsoever. I slipped on my beautiful custom made jersey, put on some simple yet cute make up then sprayed myself with some body mist. In the living room stood Mark with his girlfriend Amy wearing similar jerseys. "Who's team are we?"
Well, Mark has betrayed me and has a green jersey that has Team Jacksepticeye printed on the breast pocket. Though Amy has her purple Team Celesté jersey. "How could you?" I go toward Mark.
"I'm sorry I was charmed by him last night."
"Then it should be team Septiplier!"
I shake my head as a second later Sean walked out of the bathroom all dressed. His jersey is BEAUTIFUL. It has four leaf clovers all over it and his camera printed in neon. Green and black just simply rock on him.
"I think it balances out," he tells me in regards of the team effort here."Well then before we go," I motion Mark to snap a picture of us for the socials.
Only posted for a minute on both our accounts and people were already taking sides. This is the day it all goes down.
The convention where the Gamer-Lympics is completely stunned me. Inside, the scenery gave me such Japanese Comic-Con vibe. Lights, balloons everywhere, game stands, gift stands. It has it all. Its like Comic-Con, Vidcon and PAX had a threesome.
"Holy shit, Jack look." I pointed to the ceiling that has the live stream I created that records team selection. To make it even cooler our pixely faces are on each side of the bar. The rest of the ceiling looks like the roof of a Rolls Royce. "That is sick!"
As well walked around, many fans came to us for pictures and autographs. Some of them had purple and green headbands, while some had it mixed the colors as they couldn't choose a side. At least how they explained it. That was a nice touch.
Mark and Amy were also ambushed and it was too funny seeing them sign every kid's shirt.
"Hi Celesté," A little girl said. "Hi there, whats your name?" I said kneeling to her level. "My name's Faith, I love you so much you're the reason I'm here. I hope you win." She said very low and honestly it made me tear up a little. "Thank you, Faith." I give her hug in which her mother snapped a picture of.
Continuing to walk throught the place, we ended up going up to a panel for a Q&A. The stage divided by purple and green.
"Why are you certain you're going to win, Jack?"
Somebody asked. I threw shade at him before he took the mic to his mouth. "I've got great instincts. I've beaten (Y/n) before, I know her weaknesses."
I chuckled loudly as the person then nodded at me. I'll take that as a respond Signal. "You know why I'll win?"
"Why?"
"Cause this time I'll screw you the same way you did me. You won't see it coming."
The crowd applaused at that but then Sean made another comment. "Lets play Smash then, it'll be too easy."
"FINE BY ME!" Our mics cut off as Felix's goofy ass voice erupted in the air.
"Gamers, spectators, please make your way to the Arena as the Championship will begin shortly."
"See you there," I step off the stage first as someone came to retrieve us.
Making way to the other side of the buliding where the Arena is, I was immediately hit by the lights that shined Sean and I. "Our finalists!!!" Felix screamed from the Arena.
The place is lit with people screaming and jumping. A lot of them banged glow in the dark sticks together. It reminded me of a concert. "This is absolutely crazy," Sean says as he waved. When we got up the steps to the stage, we were greeted by Pewdiepie.
"What's up bros, are you ready?"
Sean and I glance at each other withput saying a word. "Don't...answer that." Felix added he turned to the crowd. In the first row were all the competitors that ever crossed our paths in the past. And on the second row is Amy and Mark cheering.
As Felix talked, he mentioned the leaderboard would always be on the giant screen behind our monitors. Its so weird to see Felix going by the rules. "This will not go by wins, it'll go by points. Jack is winning so far but it's anyones game."
I stared at the television cameras moving from side to side. There is also a drone flying above us too. "(Y/n)!!" Felix screamed.
"Yeah?"
"I know the cams are dope but Pay attention. Jack, Jack my man stand here."
Felix physically moved Sean from next to him to my side. "So the first game has been chosen by the audience, how good are you at Mario sunshine?"
I raised my hand way up high, while Sean only raised his slightly. "I'm def there, Pewds." I say with confident. "There you go! Team Celesté?"
I cup my hand around my ear to hear a good amount of the people get up and scream. "What about this raw potato." I point at Sean, making a wave of people stand. "Game on then, face each other and BRO fist!"
"Goodluck, grean bean."
"You'll need it more."
The crowd chimes in response of that. We fist bump and dab then took our seat by the monitors. I put on my head set, as soon as I turned it on. My gamer tag and point of view appears on the giant screen behind us. Sean joined the screen too.
"Alright Bros, Mario sunshine, you will complete 3 of the hardest levels. The faster you do it, the better the score." Felix announces to the crowd then turns to both Sean and I. "Ready?"
I look at Sean and he smiles at me. We nod.
"Game ON."
We both start the level at the same time, first one being the sand bird coin hunt. "Oh shit.." I heard Sean gasp silently. This level is a good as mine. He didn't practice this at all When I told him he should.
I love this music. It kept me calm as I carefully but quickly collected the red coins without falling off. Though my handsome opponent has fallen off the tail twice now. "Looks like Celesté got this in the bag. C'mon Jack!" Pewds says from the announcer's box.
"I didn't play this much, I'm not gonna lie." He said turning red but continued to play.
Obviously I won that level. The second level was to get the electric stingrays off hotel delfino's beach. I have to be honest, Sean and I did poorly there. Died at least once but took a lot. I won that level too.
My eyes would lock on the leaderboard from time to time. My score is rising! Still a lot to catch up. The last level of Mario sunshine was a fun one, the squid race. We both were kinda screwing each other paths. "Get out my way Jack!"
"Get behind me then."
"There's monsters!" I scream as his squid got off the racing course. I started laughing as I took a last turn twoard the finish line. But then Sean's squid bounced from on top of a wall and crossed the finish line. "AAAAHHH!" He wheezed, laughing at the same time.
"Thanks for letting me spectate you." Sean tells me as Pewds announces that I won that game either way.
The next few games are gonna be a little crazy for my taste. I know it.
