I quickly guided Lilith to my office, the memory of setting the plan replayed in my mind. I guided her to the bench I wanted to get started as quick as posable so as normal I checked for any sign of a concussion, I was able to give a sigh of relief when I realised that she had no concussion but there was something else so I had to improvise the plan.

"Can you lie down please, I want to check for abdominal injuries" she slowly nodded as I carefully took her hand and guided her to the pillow, I carefully applied pressure to different areas of her stomach and watched as her face contorted into looks of a grimace. I was horrified to see how skinny she was, I could count her every rib.

I was disgusted by the number of injuries, she had more cuts than the last time I saw her and that was only yesterday, I could see the bruises forming over her broken ribs. I tried to muster my best calming smile, I lightly took her hand in mine and help her to sit up "Lilith" I pause I can not say the wrong thing "how did you get these"

She started looking quickly around the room before starting to mumble "I... um tripped down the stairs" she lied I could hear her heart rate spike as the words fell from her lips

"Can I check your back, to check for any serious damage caused by your fall"

She slowly nodded and sat up straighter, I looked over at Jasper making sure that he was still in control and keeping Lilith calm. I carefully raised her shirt but I was not truly ready for what was there. Her back was three different colours non of them were the same colour as her skin. There were long open belt marks that were lightly oozing blood, bruises surrounded the scars the deep blue hid under a thick layer of dried blood. I quickly pulled away when she jumped off the bench her heart rate spiked, I quickly walked to Lilith's side as Jasper started growling, the look on his face even scared me I was ready to protect Lilith. I quickly stood in front of her, blocking her from a pissed-looking Jasper, "a lot of your wounds are still open, I am going to need to stitch your back", I turned around to Jasper wanting to get him out of the room and get her to start calming down
"Jasper could you please get me a bowl of warm water and a flannel" I thanked him as he nodded

"So Lilith what things do you enjoy doing" I started hoping that she would relax enough to start opening up to me

"I read mostly I also enjoy drawing"

We continued to speak, I took a deep breath before carefully asking questions "so who do you live with"

"My mum and dad"

One more deep breath and I let the words fall from my lips "Is everything alright at home"

She hesitated for a second as if contemplating telling me what was going on "Yeah why"

"How did you get these scars on your back"

"I told you, I fell" she mumbled dropping eye contact, I nodded and turned to face Jasper who had just came in

"Alright, Lilith this might hurt quite a bit, if you want I can give you some painkillers if you want" I nodded over to the table next to the bench

There was a happy glint in her eyes as she processed what I had just said "yes please" I grabbed the needle and a small vile keeping the label hidden from her, as soon as I injected the morphine her whole body relaxed, Jasper and I helped her lie on her front, just as planned a few moments later she had fallen asleep. The moment her eyes shut I got to work cleaning up her back and stitching her scars.

I knew what I had done was unethical, by not telling her that morphine is used as a sedative but this was necessary
