Part 6 (Expectations)

Uraraka's POV

I was beyond tired, but I knew if I wanted to get back on my regular sleeping schedule I'd have to push through and go to sleep at 10 like I usually did.

Today has been pretty uneventful besides everything that happened with Bakugo this morning. After breakfast I waited for everyone else to wake up and spent the rest of my day hanging out with Iida and Deku. We just hung out around the dorm not doing to much, which was fine by me. I was exhausted from all the training we had been doing lately.

Around 6pm Mina had called me and asked for help on the homework assignments for the weekend so I said goodbye to Iida and Deku and have been in her room with her ever since.

I finished all my work early this morning so it didn't take her long to finish her work.... I basically gave her all the answers haha. What are friends for right?

"Now that all the boring stuff is out of the way we can have some fun!!" Mina says while putting away all her books and papers.

I can't help but let out a little laugh, anyone who knows Mina knows that her definition of fun is gossiping, crushes in particular.

"And what kind of fun are we talking about?" I ask even though I already know the answer.

She turns towards me and gives me a sweet smile."How about we talk about crushes"

Bingo I knew it haha, I can't help but roll my eyes "Okay Mina, who do you think is crushing on who now?"

"Well obviously Jiro and Kaminari are crushing pretty hard, everyone knows that."

She was right those two have had a thing for each other for awhile, everyone knew it.

"But I want to talk about one that I just found out about" she says, her sweet smile all the sudden turning sly like she knew something that I didn't.

"Ummm okay? What's with that look you weirdo" I say as I throw a pillow at her face. She easily avoids it, that sly smile only growing bigger by the second

"Something you want to tell me Uraraka?"

"Ummm number 5 on the homework might not be 100% correct."

"What?! NOOO I mean do you want to tell me who your crushing on!" she says.

I wasn't surprised, she usually always started these gossip session's off with asking me who I had a crush on and the answer was always the same.

"No one Mina" I say rolling my eyes once again at how predictable my friend is.

She wags her finger and shakes her head at me while that sly smile continued to grow . "No no no, that's not going to work this time Uraraka, I know you have a crush on someone, I saw it with my own eyes."

What was she talking about?? I didn't like anyone like that right now, I would know if I did... right? "What are you talking about Mina?"

"You have a crush on Bakugo!!!" That sly smile of hers now completely covering her face.

"N-No I don't, what makes you even think that" I stammer out as I begin to fiddle with my hands... why was I nervous?

"I saw you two all alone this morning eating breakfast together, but most importantly I saw the way you looked at him!"

"We were just eating Mina it didn't mean anything!" I say little more loudly than I mean to.

"Yeah yeah because Bakugo just eats all alone with everyone right" this time is was Mina who rolled her eyes. "Listen Uraraka I really don't think it would be all that bad if you two hooked up, lord knows that angry pomeranian could use a woman in his life, might even calm him down a little" she says with a giggle.
