Part 9 (Hope)

Uraraka's POV

It was now Tuesday night and it was almost time to work on the homework with Bakugo, so I headed that way not wanting to be late like the night before.

I am walking up to his door when the one across from his opens up and I see Kirishima poke his head out.

"Hey Uraraka how's it going! I thought I heard the elevator open up."

"It's going good! I was just on my way to Bakugos room to work on our homework assignment."

I look down at my watch and see that I still have 15 minutes before I have to be in his room to start the assignment, so I decide to talk to Kirishima for a second, I wanted to tell him what all I've found out about Bakugo so far.

"Hey Kirishima you mind if I come in and talk for a second before I head to Bakugos room?"

"Yeah come on in" he says shooting me his signature sharp tooth smile while moving out of the way for me to come in.

When I walk into his room I am meet with the same sight I saw when we first moved into the dorms and explored each others room, and even now it makes me want to work out haha. I make my way to his desk punching his punching bag as I walk past it. Kirishima closes the door and sits down on the edge of his bed looking at me.

"So what's on your mind Uraraka?"

"Nothing really I just wanted to tell you I've been trying to see the real Bakugo like I told you I would and I'm happy to say I've done it, I've seen the real him!!" I say excitedly.

Kirishima looks dumbfounded like he can't believe I actually kept my word. So I begin to tell him everything I've seen him do starting with Kaminari falling asleep in class all the way up until last night when we made that deal, I left out a couple things including that incident with Mina, because I felt like some stuff should stay private.

When I am done Kirishima looks like a kid in a candy store he is practically bouncing up and down on his bed from joy haha he is so happy that I have seen the other side of his best friend that most people don't see and honestly so was I.

There was still some stuff I didn't understand about Bakugo though.

"Hey Kirishima can I ask you something?"

"Anything Uraraka!!" he says gleefully still overjoyed.

"Why is it that Bakugo has trouble sleeping at night and why is he only nice up on the roof?"

Kirishima's whole mood changes after I ask him these things. His once happy smile is now replaced with a sad frown, he is no longer bobbing up and down on the bed, he is just sitting there dead still like a statue. The whole atmosphere in the room has now changed. Kirishima is quiet for a long time, probably debating what he should say.

"I don't know Uraraka, but he hasn't been able to sleep good since he was a kid"

That was obviously a lie, or more like only half the truth. If he really didn't know he would of said that right away instead of waiting awhile before answering, why would Kirishima lie to me?

Bakugo hasn't been able to sleep good since he was a kid?!?!? What happened??? Kirishima know's but won't say.... Whatever happened made him into how he is now, I'm sure of it. And it happened the same time he started having trouble sleeping.... When he was just a kid.

I look down at my watch and see I only have 5 minutes till I have to be in Bakugos room.

"Ohh you don't know ether huh, guess the angry blonde still has some secrets even you don't know about huh haha" I say trying to act like its not a big deal. "Anyways I better get going, its almost time for us to start our homework."

I get up and head to the door, Kirishima doesn't move or respond he looks like he is in deep thought, its like he is having a internal war with himself.

I get to the door and grab the nob but stop, there is one more question I have to ask before I leave even if he doesn't answer it I have to ask.

"Hey Kirishima, what is it Bakugo is looking for in the stars?"

Silence..... even though he doesn't say a word I can feel the struggle in the air. The struggle between him wanting to answer me and something not letting him, so I wait to see which one will win. After a couple of minutes to my surprise he answers me.

"Hope....."

Hope??? I don't understand, yet again I get a answer that leads to more questions, but at least I'm still getting answers I guess. I don't have time to think about this because just then my watch goes off signaling that it is time for me to be in Bakugos room.

"Bye Kirishima, I'll see you later" I say as I open the door to leave.

"Bye Uraraka" his voice comes out quiet like he is still deep in thought.

What does he know about Bakugo that is causing him to act this way? Causing him to lie?

I close the door and walk across the hall to Bakugos door where I knock and wait for him to let me in so we can start our homework.
