Mr. Hughes and Mr. Mustang just got through explaining to Paulina and Diego that Sam and Tucker hired to get Paulina pregnant so Danny could see how much of a slut Paulina is, then Danny was supposed to fall in the arms of Sam and once that happened, they would have Dash arrested for rape.
Nate: So what now?
This shocked Diego.
Diego: I thought you were mute.
Nate: I was. But the person who took my voice gave it back. He said it was an apology.
Diego: What do you mean?
Nate: I didn't get a chance to tell you last time. Given the fact of multiple witnesses around your house. Remember whatever is said and seen in this room stays in here. With the exception of my family and the Hughes family.
I then explained to him about alchemy and Amestris. And how my brothers and I tried to bring mom back from the dead.
Diego: I see but can you prove this?
I then took a step back and pointed at my shadow.

Diego: Nate, you've gone above and beyond for Paulina more times then I can count. You protected her. You had your family friend look into it. If that's not a true friend then I don't know what is. Sure your not human anymore and you came from a different universe. But you're still you. So of course you can still be friends with my daughter. Though even if I said no, Paulina would fight me until I changed my mind.

Paulina: Oooooh! I have two backstage passes for the Ember Mclain concert! I know you already have a date for prom, but would you like to go to the concert with me?
