2 - On That Day

You continued to run until someone gripped your wrists and dragged you into a nearby alleyway.

They threw you on the ground with sheer force, which made you fall on your back and tumble onto the ground, scraping both knees and elbows.

Your body ached and stung from the pain.

"OWW, damn it! What the--??" You looked up, and the figure that pulled you before stepped forward.

"Um, excuse me?" You tried to speak without fear.

The person appeared and came into the light, taking off the dark colored shawl they wore.

You suddenly realized that the person was your mother.

"Mom!!" You gasped in shock and gave her a hug.

She winced, so you let go immediately, and you noticed that there were multiple large blood stains mostly on the right side of her clothing.

Shivering and planting both hands on your shoulders, she spoke: 

"Y/N, listen carefully, there's no time. Find Levi Ackerman."

"Huh, what are you talking about?! We can leave right now!"

You grabbed her hand and tried to get her to move.

"NO Y/N, I... can't..." She pulled away from you while looking down.

She pointed to her hip, and it looked like a huge chunk of it was taken out.

"M-Mom... Your-" You gasped in shock again. How did she survive a Titan attack?

"I-I'll just slow you down, Y/N. You need to leave, NOW!!" She nudged you forward.

"What?? No, Mom, listen, we can do this!!"

"NO!! Y/N, LISTEN TO ME!!"

You backed away in fear, remembering that Eren's mother had said the same thing, and you found yourself shivering like the temperature had dropped below zero.

"Y-Y/N, take this." She stuttered.

She handed you a letter with some blood stains on it.

You reluctantly took the letter from your mother.

She stared into your eyes, "Y/N. Find Levi and give him this. He'll help you. He'll explain everything."

"Um... Levi who?" You pretended to act dumb.

"Levi Ackerman, Y/N!! Stop procrastinating and go!!" She yelled at you quietly so Titans wouldn't be attracted to the noise.

"No... No, Mom, I can't leave you!!" You gave her a hug and refused to let go.

"Y/N please... Don't make this any harder-- Oh, I almost forgot."

She hurriedly took out a necklace with a symbol that you didn't recognize, but it felt familiar.

"Also, wear this necklace, he'll know you from it, and you might remember him once you see him."

"What?? But Mom!! I don't want to-"
