Your feet moved faster then ever as you ran down the busy and trashy street of Marvin City just to get to that damn hospital.

You get to the entrance and immediately push the doors down startling some doctors and people in there.

"Ma'am, can I help you?" someone with brown hair pulled up in a ponytail and glasses asked.

"I-I'm here to see a friend. His name is Eren. Eren Yeager, is he here? I need to see him." you said as you pleaded to the woman.

"Follow me." she said and you followed her to the front desk as you waited impatiently as she typed away on the keyboard looking through files. "We do have someone here named Eren Yeager. May I ask who you are to him before I allow you to see him?" the woman asked.

"I'm his friend. Now please let me see him." you pleaded.

"I'm sorry, family is only aloud to see him, especially the case he has right now it's even risky for family members to see him." she said and you felt your blood stop.

"That won't be necessary." a man with slightly long hair and round glasses said as he came up to you and the doctor. "You're Y/N, right?" the man asked.

"Yes, sir." you said with a trembling voice.

"She's family." the man said. "Eren wants to see her too."

"Are you sure, Mr. Yeager? She is family?" the doctor asked.

"Yes, Dr. Zoë. Please allow her." the man said.

Dr. Zoë nodded and stood up and handed a mask to you. "Please wear this when you step inside just for precautions." she said and you followed her to Eren's room.

You then saw Eren laying peacefully on a hospital bed with a tube in his nose and I.V strapped to his arm. The sight made you want to hurl.

"You can enter. Please call me if anything happens." Dr. Zoë said and walked away.

You hovered your hand over the door knob as you stared at Eren through the window. You were so scared.

"Y/N. I am Grisha, Eren's father." Grisha said and you shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Yeager." you said. "What happened to Eren?"

"From what me and the doctors are guessing, sometime during the school year Eren caught the case of Ebola. Ebola isn't contagious only when the the person who has Ebola doesn't have any symptoms like puking, muscle aches, fatigue, etc. That's why you have to wear a mask and gloves because we aren't sure if Eren is contagious or not." Grisha explained and your heart dropped down to your stomach.

What is happening right now.

"I...I don't care. I just want to see him." you said. "Does Ebola...kill?"

Grisha stayed silently not knowing how to break it down for this girl knowing that you meant so much to Eren.

"Yes."

You never knew one word could absolutely break you.

"Could Eren die?" you asked.

You felt like crying but tears didn't come out. You felt like screaming but all you had was a lump in your throat. All you could think was that the world is so unfair.

"Yes."

"No!" you thought. "He hasn't fulfilled his dreams yet!"

You didn't respond as you silently went into the room. You hate the sound and smell of the hospital because all it sounded or smelled like was dead people and dead souls or alive bodies that will be dead.

The atmosphere was so terrible. You hate it. You hate it all.

When you entered, Eren lazily looked at you and put on a smile. "How did the art competition go." he said with a groggy voice. You didn't say anything as you sat on a chair beside his bed. Eren noticed this. "Sorry that I couldn't make it. Something happened." Eren said trying to joke around to lighten the mood but it didn't work so he frowns at your sorry state in defeat.

Eren watched as you placed both your hands on the side of his bed and started to silently sob. Tears pooling down your cheeks and down your chin.

Eren never liked it when you cried. Sure, you looked beautiful but that didn't mean he liked it when you were sad.

He's told that to himself before.

Eren weakly placed his hand on your hands to try and comfort you the best he could but it was hard since he had all these medical stuff attached to him.

You still continued to cry.

-

Your mom decided to pick you up from the hospital after the hours you spent there and drive you home. You told Levi and Petra you were going to stay at your mom's for awhile so that you could visit Eren more at the hospital. They understood.

After crying yourself to sleep that night and regretting everything, you called everyone to meet up with you at the diner Pieck works at.

When you entered the diner, Armin, Pieck, Annie, and Porco were already there.

"Y/N, we have to tell you something-"

"We need to talk." you said in a serious tone.

"About what?" Annie asked.

"It's about Eren." you answered and sat down. "Eren is sick..."

"What do you mean?" Porco asked.

"I mean, he has Ebola and is getting treated at the hospital." you said slightly irritated. The whole mood changed in the group to this.

"So that's why he wasn't there yesterday...?" Armin asked.

"Yeah." you said.

"Is he going to live?" Annie asked.

"I don't know..." you answered.

Nobody really knew what to say. This was never expected especially from a guy like Eren. This was extremely hard for them to take in.

"We should go visit Eren." Pieck said and everyone nodded their heads numbly.

The car ride to Marvin Grey Hospital was quiet. Everyone was mourning and suffering from this because everyone was great friends with Eren. Pieck and Eren would always have petty and playful arguments about if Jungkook said "it's been awhile, billboard" or "it's been awhile, babygirl.

Armin and Eren are childhood friends that have stuck with each other ever since.

Annie and Eren played soccer with each other throughout P.E and grew a small friendship.

Eren and Porco were best buddies too.

And you and him...that was an indescribable friendship. You didn't even want it to be called a friendship. You wanted it to be called love.

"We're here." Porco announced breaking the silence.

Everyone got out of the car and headed inside. Grisha let everyone visit Eren and you all were surrounding Eren in his bed now.

"Hey, guys." Eren said.

"Hey, Eren." Armin said with a slight smile.

"Sup, babygirl." Pieck said and Eren glared.

"It's billboard." Eren said and Pieck rolled her eyes.

"So, you've got Ebola?" Annie said and Eren sighed.

"Yeah, but it's not a big deal," Eren said. "I promise."

"It is a big deal." your serious tone broke through. "You're acting like this isn't a big deal when it is. You could die, Eren." you said with a scared and sorrowful face.

Eren's small smile disappeared into a frown and looked down. "I know."

You all talked and stayed with Eren as you talked about random things. Everyone tried keeping the mood up like Eren wanted it to but you still were sad and frustrated that Eren wasn't worrying about this too much like you were.
