Chapter five

"Vallory?" A distant voice called and I groaned.

"Val, can you hear me?" It called again and i immediate shot up and looked around.

"Hey, it's okay." Mal assured and my breathing picked up.

"Where am I? Where's Uma?". I began to panic.

"Calm down. You're in Auradon". Mal answered and I went wide eyed.

"You kidnapped me?" I yelled.

"I thought you wanted to come here?" Mal asked confused.

"Not by taking me against my will and away from Uma". I yelled.

"I thought you hated her and why are you with Uma anyway?" She scoffed.

"No, I don't hate Uma. You did and whatever you did i followed because i looked up to you". I spat.

"And then you left me and Uma was the only one who took me in after everything you did to her". I whispered and Mal had a wave of Sadness fill her face.

"I'm sorry I left you behind". She cried as she grabbed my hand and I looked down at it.

"Val my intention was when I became the lady of the court, I was gonna bring more kids  from the isle, including you.  I never forgot about you". She explained.

"I wanna go back home". I mumbled pulling my hand from underneath hers and she sighed.

"Please,  at least come to Cotillion and if you still want, I'll take you back myself". She pleaded.

"Fine". I mumbled.

"Evie and the boys would like to see you. Do you want to go look around?" She asked and I nodded slightly.

Mal took my hand and led me towards a room across the hall and opened it.

Walking in both Jay and Carlos turned around and smiled at me.

"Hey, sorry about kidnapping you and everything". Jay said sheepishly, while rubbing the back of his head.

"Why did you?" I asked softly as a tear escaped my eyes, already missing the love of my life.

"You wouldn't listen to us if we just walked up to you. Actually I think you would have just stabbed one of us". Carlos said with a nervous chuckle and I shrugged.

"I'm not denying it". I mumbled.

"Okay, the dress is ready". Evie said walking into the room and stopped when she saw me looking at her.

"Vallory!". She exclaimed.

"Val?". Mal called and I looked at her.

"We are so sorry, I.... am sorry". She muttered.

I looked at her with a sad face and when I looked at her neck, I had to do a double take and my breath hitched.

"You still have that?" I whispered as I blinked back my tears.

Mal followed my gaze to her neck and looked at the dragon necklace around her neck.

"I never took it off Val". She said softly.

"Do you still have yours?" She asked hopefully.

I reached into my shirt and pulled out the necklace to show her and she smiled.

"Can I hug you?" She asked nervously and I gave her a hesitant nod.
She sighed out then strode over to me and hugged me.

I slowly wrapped my arms around her and sighed.
