"Well, what are we gonna do now?" Steve asked.

"You know what? Give me a break, Steve. I just got hit in the head with the Hulk." Tony told him. "You said that we had one shot. This– this was our shot. We shot it. It's shot. Six stones or nothing. Six stones or nothing" River rolled her eyes.

"You're repeating yourself, you know that? You're repeating yourself." River responded. She was tired, wanted to go back home, get her friends back, and go on smaller missions.

"You're repeating yourself. You're repeating yourself. You know- No." Scott replied back to her.

"Dude, come on." "You never wanted a time heist, you went on board with the time heist-"

"I dropped the ball." Tony said. "You ruined the time heist." Scott told him. "Is that what I did?" Tony questioned, having a hint of sarcasm to his tone.

"Yeah!" River and Scott said in sync.

"Are there any other options with the Tesseract?" Her dad asked.

"No, no, no. There's no other options. There's no do-overs. We're not going anywhere else. We have one particle left. Each. That's it, alright? We use that– Bye, bye. You're not going home." Scott answered.

"Yeah, well if we don't try, then no one else is going home, either." River responded to it.

I got it. There's another way. To retake the Tesseract and acquire new particles. We'll stroll down memory lane. Military installation, Garden State." Tony realized, coming up with the idea. "When were they both there?" Steve questioned. "They were there at a– I've a vaguely exact idea." Tony replied.

"How vague?" Cap asked.

"What are you talking about? Where are we going?" Scott asked.

"I know for a fact they were there–" Tony got cut off by Scott asking, "Who's they? What are we doing?" "What's in New Jersey?" River asked, all of a sudden getting confused.

And now, Steve and Tony were counting.

"Excuse me..." Scott tried to say something, Steve and Tony ignored him.

"Cap. Captain. Steve, sorry, America. Rogers. Look, if you do this, and this doesn't work, you're not coming back." Scott told them.

"Thanks for the pep talk, pissant." "Do you trust me?" Tony asked Steve.

"Do you know anything?" Scott asked River. She shook her head, "All I know is something military, I don't know."

"Okay, well..." He trailed off.

Steve: Bilogical dad
Bucky: Step-dad
Tony: Mentor/Uncle/Dad figure
Scott: Confused dad figure for this teenager he just met

I should be doing my work. Am I? Hell nope.

I just imagine River meeting the X-Men, and it would be chaos.
