"Partners?!"

We both looked at each other in disbelief.

"It's kind of a nice pair don't you think? Jimin's the ringmaster. And I'm just a substitute while he was in the mental hospital. And he's quite a flexible one! How great would it be to have a duo like that?" Seokjin explained dreamily as Yoongi raised a brow.

"Okay? And are you done? Because I need to do something?" Yoongi replied as he crossed his arms, and Seokjin chuckled.

"Oh Yoongi! You haven't even shown the newbie what you can do!" Seokjin side-eyed the latter and Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"I can blow fire from my mouth, I can make water levitate, and that's basically it," he replied bluntly before turning his heel, attempting to walk away but was pulled back by Seokjin.

"My apologies for this salty ying-yang looking guy. He's not used to socializing, but it is true, he's a pretty unique guy," Seokjin winked and I nodded as I looked at him.

"Now... I'm not patient, but I want to start off with you and Jimin practicing, don't you both mess up. Me and Yoongi are going backstage for some equipment, have fun! Jimin may look like some kind of crazy guy but trust me, he's sane!" Seokjin smiled cheekily before dragging Yoongi with him.

Jimin hummed, looking at me as he bit his plump bottom lip, and he sighs deeply before reaching his hand to wrap his fingers around my hand.

"We're... practicing. Since I know how much of an annoying shit Jin hyung may be. He seems nice, but trust me, he' scary when you don't follow what he says," Jimin explains before pulling me to he center of the ring.

"We're starting with your abilities. What can you do?" Jimin asked as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Uh... gymnastics? I came to sing, but  they switched me here. I really enjoy this hobby though," I replied and he nodded as he looked at me.

"Why... did you work here? There are plenty more jobs that offer a great pay here," Jimin asked.

"My family... they need funds. They need it to live. I was there in the mental hospital because of my father, who suffered from a mental illness. I hope that answers you question. What about you? Do you... why are you here?" I ask him and he smiles a bit.

"Because of the guys. It's a simple answer. I've known them for a long time, and we've been living here for a long time," he says.

There was a long silence, he silently walked to the rope that hung from the tall tent top and it goes down to our feet, and he takes it before giving it to me.

"This is what we'll be practicing, I want you to do a few tricks with this rope," he says as he gestures me towards it.

I take the rope and I look at how high it was tied. I didn't even want to imagine what they had to do to tie it all the way there.

"Normally, there would be hula-hoop tied on the rope, but I guess Seokjin has that," he grimaced as he suddenly wrapped his arms around my waist, making me jump as he placed his hand on the rope too.

"I guess we can start with you. Imagine you being chased by a guy that loves you very much, and you're trying your best to run away from him, I guess that's the concept," he explains as he pops up from around my shoulder.

"Have you ever been in a relationship, Yeonhae?" He asks, and my eyes widened a bit as I quickly faced him.

"Isn't that a bit too personal?" I replied.

"Okay then, let's start off with me, I've dated at least-"

"I'm not interested in your love lives, Jimin," I sulked as I looked at him.

"Fine, but you get the picture, right?" He  chuckled and I nodded.

"Hey, I'm back," another voice joined in and me and Jimin's heads turn towards the figure that just entered.

"Oh, hey," he replied as the figure rubbed his hair, tousling it a bit.

"Where's Jin hyung? I need some extra cards," he boomed.

"And what are you both doing?" He cocked a brow as he looked at both of us.

"Trust me, this is just practice, but I think you need to show Yeonhae around, you know? She's staying here, afterall," Jimin said and Namjoon tsks.

"You think I have time to do that? I have customers. You do that to her," he says before opening the curtains and walking inside.

"Alright then, since you already know the idea, we still have plenty of time to discuss about our act, but you need to know your way around here first," Jimin says before pointing to the curtains.

"Those lead to the dressing and locker rooms, although we rarely use them," Jimin says before opening the door that leads to the insides of the tent.

Now that I think about it, Jimin did seem... sane? I don't know what word to put it, but he seemed like sone friendly type of guy and compared to his attitude yesterday, he seemed pretty normal today.

My first impressions with the others were direct and exact. For Seokjin, he was more like a person who likes to tell people around, and acts like the father figure. Namjoon... acts like an arrogant and straight-up jerk but I still haven't really known him that well. Yoongi is just more of a salty guy with a weird hair and eye color.

As we made our way inside, Jimin stood beside me before looking at the wide space.

"This is where everyone gets ready to perform. But don't worry, we're most likely to have the rooms upstairs if you-"

THUD!

Then, my eyes slowly lowered to what suddenly crashed on the wooden floor.

It was a dead body.
