Summary: Everything about the move seemed smooth, but Dream began to notice how tired Sapnap was during the day.

A flickering light and some stirring beside him woke Dream from his light sleep. He and Sapnap had been sitting on the couch and watching random TV shows when he had fallen asleep, assuming that his roommate had done the same. He squinted through the bright light that invaded his eyes, and when he turned he could see its reflection in Sapnap's eyes.
"Sap?" Dream groaned, rubbing at his eyes, "Why are you awake, it's-" he glanced at the clock for a moment, "it's two in the morning, why are you still awake?"
"Dweam?" Sapnap's voice was groggy and slurred, sparking worry in his friend. Furthering this is when the brunet climbed into Dream's lap - not that he wasn't a bit clingy to begin with - but still concerned him anyway.
"Hey, you alright bud?" Dream asked worriedly. He'd never seen Sapnap act so...childish, but if it didn't seem to be hurting him, it couldn't hurt to lean into it.
"Sweepy 'n sad," the ravenette whispered out, nuzzling into Dream's neck slightly. "Feewin' too wittle ta sweep 'lone, 's scawy."
It took the blond a moment to process, but when it finally clicked, his eyebrows furrowed and tilted his head; "You're too little to sleep alone?"
"Mhms," Sapnap yawned, then whined quietly, trying to rub the sleepiness from his eyes. "Don' wan' have nigh'mawe."
"What if I slept with you?" Dream suggested, rubbing the little's back to try and keep him from waking more than he needed to. "Would you like that, Sap?"
"Mm...yes pwease," Sapnap murmured, finally relaxing and letting his sleepiness take over.
The next morning was an awkward conversation to try and explain this all, but Dream was obviously very accepting and more than willing to snuggle with Sapnap at night if meant he wouldn't have any nightmares.
And he hasn't had any since.
