It had been a chill day, for the most part; Tango had woken up little, so Zedaph carried him on his hip to breakfast. Impulse immediately knew what was happening, thankfully, so he switches from his plan of scrambled eggs to (strawberry!) pancakes.

The little babbled to his caregivers in clumsy baby talk, maybe something about legos. When asked, Tango holds up four fingers, although it sounds like he tells them three instead - a very little boy, then.

Zed decides it'd be best if they didn't let the boy feed himself, something Impulse agreed to easily. So, they take turns feeding Tango bites of syrup soaked pancake, occasionally trading out to eat themselves. Then it's time to wash sticky hands and wipe messy faces, something Tango fights to no end. He flails and screams and whines, nearly in tears when neither Impulse nor Zedaph give in.

"I'm sorry, sunshine, but I had to," Impulse soothes him, kissing the top of his head, "You don't want to get your toys dirty, hm?"

Sadly, Tango shakes his head. So, slight and gentle, his caregivers lead him into the living room. They sit him on the floor and open up the toy chest, pulling out cars and trucks and trains; better toys for a three-year-old than something he might swallow, like legos.

"'Toons?" Tango asks, pointing at the blank TV. Zedaph smiles and ruffles his hair, then flicks through channels til he finds Blue's Clues. Not quite cartoons, but it seemed to make Tango happy, which was the goal.

It's not til after lunch that the peace is disturbed by a call of "Impulseeeee!"

Tango freezes, just staring at the car in his hand. His paci just sits in his mouth, other hand gripping onto his sippy cup a little bit tighter. Impulse springs up from the couch and rushes to cut Grian off, while Zed goes to calm Tango instead.

Unfortunately, Impulse is a bit late, and Grian is already putting himself into the situation with Scar trailing behind him, laughing. The pair pause, though, and wondering eyes flick over Zedaph and Tango, who are rocking gently on the floor.

"Oh, hey guys," Grian greets them cheerily, crouching down by the still rocking little on the floor. He smiles softly. "I see you like cars, huh little man? That's super cool." Tango smiles a bit, too, and nods.

"Car," he mutters smartly, blushing when Grian coos.

Grian ruffles his hair, then looks over his shoulder at Scar. The brunet is just staring, a slight pout on his face as he watches the blond fawn over another little. He whines softly, and flushes when Grian laughs. "Are you getting jealous over there, kitty cat?"

Impulse cocks his head, but his eyes light up in understanding when Scar shuffles his feet and nods shyly. "Oh, you regress too?" He asks, well, impulsively, grinning when the taller nods. "You know, Tango would love someone to play with.."

"R-Really?" The little whispers. Impulse and Grian glance at each other, then smile.

"If you want to."

The quickly regressing little shuffles over and sits on his knees by Tango - Grian and Zedaph decided to move out of the way so the boys could play - and waves nervously. "H-Hi," he greets the other little shyly, "W-Wanna play?"

Tango gasps and kicks his legs. "Oki!!"

With the boys playing happily, the caregivers decided to settle back on the couch to talk.

"How long have you guys been taking care of Tango?" Grian queries, eyes occasionally flicking to look at the littles.

"About 3 months now?" Impulse says, looking at Zedaph for an firm answer, to which the blond nods.

"Yeah, 3 months and a handful of weeks. You?"

" Only a few weeks," Grian shrugs, smiling ruefully as he watches Scar crash cars together on the floor. "He's been regressing longer than that though. I don't know how long he's been without a caregiver, but I figured if no one else would..."

The other two nod, then are silent as the three watch Scar and Tango roll cars and make car noises. Scar, a bit older and shyer, is gentle with Tango, who is giggling and flailing wildly. The five-year-old smiles at his caregiver, then continues to entertain himself and the three-year-old.

Yeah, Grian smiles to himself, I think we'll be just fine.
