They usually say that true love only exists in the movies or in fiction. That it never lasts. That you're just wasting your time. Though, I never believed that. I never believed that true love only exists in the movies. I never believed that true love only exists in fiction. I never believed that true love was a waste of time.

How do I know? because I was in love. I was so in love. I loved this person more than anything. More than I could breathe. More than I could sacrifice. He was the love of my life.

The first time I had seen him, was in the school cafeteria. He had no idea who I was, and I had no idea who he was; But when I saw him, I just couldn't resist. He was so beautiful and with the most beautiful head of soft curls, and gorgeous green eyes. He had the most beautiful smile that could light up the whole world, and a charming personality that was liked by everyone he knew. To me, it was love at first sight.

If you were to ask me who I loved most in the world, my answer would be him. Because he was who I loved most in the world. He was who proved to me that the things they said about love, are far from the truth.

Because I knew one thing was for sure; This was not fiction.

I looked around the cafeteria for my friends, and saw them sitting together. I make my way towards them and sat down.

"What's up lads?" I greet them, taking my lunch out from my bag.

"Nothing much really, just been studying for this test–"

"You haven't been studying shit." Stan cuts him off, saying.

"Eh, well." Oli shrugs, and continues eating his food.

I shake my head and chuckle at them. I open my lunch and begin eating it immediately because of how hungry I was. We chat for a while, eating.

I looked around as I got a bit bored. I was about to look away, until my eyes caught sight of someone. Not just anyone, but a boy. A very cute boy. He has a head full of curls and the prettiest face. I couldn't look away, he was just so beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen him before, considering how packed this school is.

He was sat beside a blonde lad, talking and moving his hands.

"You aren't very subtle, you know that right?" I jump up startled. I forgot that Stan and Oli were sitting with me.

I blushed, realising they caught me staring at the boy. "Oh hush, Stanley."

"Oh, that's Harry Styles. He moved here a year ago. My sister has a class with him and talks about him all the time. He's a sweet lad, she says." Said, Stan.

"And lucky for you, he's bi as well." He adds.

"That's brilliant!" I exclaim. "Can you maybe ask Grace for his number? if they're friends that is."

"I'm sorry mate, they aren't that close. They're friends, but just school friends." He answers, taking a spoon of his pudding.

"Oh..."

"Yeah, but I mean– you can try talking to him. Make conversation or something." He suggests.

I thought about what he just said, and looked at the pretty lad again. If I don't go up and talk to him now, I probably won't see him again, especially considering I've never seen him before at all, and the reason probably is that the cafeteria was too crowded.

I sigh nervously and stand up.

"Don't freak him out by the way. I haven't forgotten that one boy you just walked up to, and we both know how that turned out." Oli jokes, laughing.

I roll my eyes at him and begin walking toward the boy. I get to him, and nervously stand there by the table. He looks up once he notices me. I notice how beautiful his eyes are, which are a beautiful emerald green. I have never met anyone with them before.

"Hello, I'm Louis." I introduce myself. I was really hoping this wouldn't turn out awkward.

"Uhmm, I'm Harry." He introduces himself, as well. He looks at his blonde friend who seems very lost as he looked up as well, not having noticed I was there at first.

"Harry? that's a nice name."

"Thanks..."

"So, I saw you from over there," I started, pointing towards where I was at my table. "And thought you were really pretty." I facepalmed in my head after saying that. That was probably awkward, I thought.

"Oh- uhh.." He drifts off in disbelief. "Thank you, I've never gotten a compliment like that before." He says, his face getting red.

His friend was looking back and forth at us, a look of confusion on his face. I've come to the realisation that he's actually deaf, after seeing Harry talk to him with his hands. I don't know sign language, so I didn't notice he was using it at first.

"Really? like-never?" I questioned in surprise. It makes no sense as to why no one has ever complimented him. I thought everyone complimented each other, especially when they deserved to be.

"Nope, not at all. Thank you very much for being the first." He thanks me as he smiled.

"You're very welcome." I replied, smiling back.

"I actually came over here just in case I wouldn't see you again. I mean, this is my first time seeing you, so." I start to say. "I just wanted to get the chance to talk to you before it was too late. This place is crowded after all." I say, chuckling.

He chuckles as well. "I know, this whole school is actually crowded and this is my first time seeing you too."

"Yeah, agreed." I replied.

"I've actually been here since last year." He tells me.

"How are you liking it here so far?" I ask him.

"I like it here a lot; it's nice." He answers.

"Wh-?" Before I could ask him - the bell rings - singling the end of lunch.

"Is it okay if I have your number? in case we can't find each other, and can maybe talk? get to know each other? if- if you want." I nervously suggest, stuttering.

"Of course! I would like to get to know you as well. You seem really nice." He agrees, smiling warmly. I take my phone out and hand it to him. He types his number into my phone and hands it back to me.

"well, guess I'll see you around Harry."

"Guess I'll see you around too, Louis."

Chapter 1 of this new story! I hope you like it, I've been planning it for months😊.xX.

Harry and Louis are the same age in this btw, Louis being a year older if anyone was wondering.
