When talking about our future, it was a sensitive topic for Harry. He never wanted to talk about it.

"It's not because I don't know what I want for my future, it's more complicated than that." He tells me.

"How so?" I curiously ask.

"I don't exactly want to mention why. It's just that when I think about it, I picture these people living their lives, following their dreams, and fulfilling their future." He answers.

"Can't you do that? or are you doubting you can't?" I tilted my head, asking.

He shrugs. "Doubt? I can do that. Can I do the things I just listed? that's something I look forward to seeing myself."

When he talked like that, it made me question whether or not he was actually doubting his future like I had said; but I had a worried feeling inside me that I didn't know the reason for.

I was about to respond, until there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" He calls. The door opens and his mum comes in, a tray of fruits in her hand.

"I brought you guys some snacks if you're hungry." She said, and places the tray on Harry's bed.

"Thanks, mum." He replies.

"If you guys need anything else, just let me know okay?" She asks, and we nod.

After she left, I look back at Harry. "What do you mean?"

He shrugs again. "I don't really want to talk about it anymore if that's okay?"

I twist my lips in confusion, but agreed. "Okay."

___

Harry and I had been dating for 4 months by then, and we would go on dates and walks in the park.

"You know what I've always wanted to do?" Harry asks me as we walk hand in hand in the park.

"What?" I ask back.

"Feed the ducks. It's something I've wanted to do for the longest." He answers.

"Maybe next time we can. We don't have any bread." I tell him.

"We don't have bread, but we do have these." He says, stopping, and pulling out a bag of cracked corn.

"You had those in your pocket?" I ask him, surprised.

He nods. "Yep. I always keep them just in case I see a bird somewhere. I see them all the time flying by my house, and sitting by my window. So I feed them cracked corn."

"That's nice of you. Let's feed them now."I say, and he agrees.

We spend about half an hour feeding the ducks, and even played with a few. One of them bit me though.

Harry just laughs and holds his stomach.

I can't help but admire how beautiful he is when he laughs. How his eyes crinkle and his dimples show. He truly is the most beautiful person I have ever met.

"I love you." I say suddenly.

He suddenly stops laughing, and looks at me.

"Wha- what?"

My eyes widen in shock as I realise what I just said. Harry just stands there with his mouth gaped.

"I uhh-" I begin to say, but notice a small smile forming on Harry's face.

"I love you too." He says back, smiling slightly.

This is the first time we said, "I love you" to each other. I felt happier than ever that it was a moment like this, and there was no awkwardness considering it was the first.

"Really?" I questioned stupidly, and facepalmed at the obvious question I just asked.

He giggles, blushing. "Of course! I love you so much. Since we've been together, I always get so nervous to say it. I sort of wanted you to say it first because of how nervous I was. I've never been in love before, and you're my first ever boyfriend."

"You're my first boyfriend as well." I admit.

"Really? so I guess we're both each others first boyfriends." He chuckles lightly.

"Yeah, I guess so." I chuckle lightly too.

"We should head back to my house. I think my mum should be done making dinner by now." He says, and I nod.

We walk back, both of us feeling happy about what just happened.

___

Niall had worried me a lot. He still was distant from us, and his behaviour was unlike him. Like I had said before, he was always happy and cheery. He was practically one of the happiest people I had ever met, but he started to be different. Things were never the same with him after a couple of months.

"Hey, Nialler." I signed, greeting him after I approached him by his locker and tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey, Tommo." He signs, greeting back as he unloaded his backpack.

He closes it after taking out his books for first period, and then turns his attention to me.

"How are you today?" I questioned, signing.

"Pretty good I guess." He looked past me for a second, and then back.

"I gotta head to class, but I will see you later at lunch." He signed, and then walked away quickly before I could say anything.

I brushed it off this time, though. I suddenly jumped up startled, as a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and someone's chin rested on my shoulder.

"Hello, babe." I heard the lovely voice of my boyfriend, say.

I smiled happily and turned to him. He kissed me sweetly before pulling away.

"I missed you." He pouted, wrapping his arms around me again.

I smiled at his cuteness. "You saw me yesterday, love." I point out, wrapping my arms around him as well.

"I know, but yesterday seems like forever." He replied.

I giggle and hug him closer. Suddenly I remembered something, and decide to ask him about it.

"Hey, is Niall okay?"

"What do you mean?" He asks over my shoulder as he was still hugging me.

"He's just not really been himself lately. Do you know if anything is going on with him? he's been distant from us." I explained.

He pulls away and looks at me confused. "I don't know? I've noticed it, but haven't really questioned anything."

"But you should know, shouldn't you? you're best friends." I tell him.

"Yeah, but we don't tell each other everything. I mean, I do and have told him a few things, but not always much."

"So you really don't know what's going on with him?" He shakes his head.

"I have been a bit worried about it though. I do miss being close with him - and him being so distant - kind of gives me the scared feeling he doesn't want to be friends anymore." He frowns.

"No no, I'm sure that's not why." The bell rang, singling it's time for class.

"We'll talk to him about it later, let's go." I say, and he agrees before I started walking him to his class.
