Tamaki couldn't breathe. Everyone's eyes and camera were on you as you stared at the ring in utter shock. Tamaki couldn't take it anymore. He stands up and Mirio opens his mouth to say something but Tamaki interrupts him.
"I'm going to get some air," he mutters and walks towards the door.
You can't form any words. You loved your boyfriend, but were you sure you wanted to commit to marriage this soon? Out of the corner of your eye you see Tamaki walk out of the venue. Guilt washes over you. Of course he can't stand to see his fiance get proposed to.
Fiance. That's right. You're Tamaki's fiance. You're his not anyone else's. Finally, all of your memories return. How you met, your first kiss, first date, when he proposed and so much more. Tears rush to your eyes. How dumb are you to forget the love of your life. What kind of fiance are you to forget him? The best moments of your life have been with him, how could you forget that? And with the way you treated him, he's probably crushed.
"Oh god, I need to find him" you think to yourself but you hear a voice.
"Y/N?" you're boyfriend says with a nervous smile plastered on his face. Ah, right. This is happening.
"I'm so sorry," you turn away from him, ready to run after Tamaki but he grabs your arm.
"Wha- what do you mean by sorry?" he says standing up.
"I'm sorry but I can't marry you," you let go of his grip on you, "I have someone else waiting for me."
And with that you run off, leaving your now ex boyfriend behind. Of course you felt some guilt, but all you wanted right now was to be with Tamaki.
"Please wait for me Tamaki, I'm coming."
Tamaki was walking against the railing of the bridge. He remembers when you both would come here to stargaze together. You were obsessed with astrology and would tell Tamaki the names of each constellation and the story behind it. Those were some of the happiest moments of his life, listening to you happily blabber about things that you enjoyed. He looks down the bridge. Under it, the river was dead calm, not making a noise.
It was a long way down, huh?
"Oh gosh, Tamaki where are you?" you mutter, stopping to catch your breath. Your hair was a mess and you took off your heels a while back, since you couldn't run as fast with them on. Panting, you look up at the night sky. The stars were twinkling in the darkness, giving you a sense of calm. You close your eyes and try to think rationally. Tamaki was one who liked to reminisce on past memories whenever he feels bad soooo...
"The bridge!" you yelp and start running in the direction of it. No no, a bridge isn't good, especially with Tamaki's state of mind right now. Thank goodness it isn't that far from where you were. Soon, the bridge comes to view and you see someone standing on it. Your eyes widen when you see that the person standing on it was Tamaki.
"Tamaki!" you call out to him. He turns to you, leaving you speechless. His face was dark and his eyes were directed to you but it didn't feel as if he was looking at you. Tears form in your eyes knowing that you did this to him. You walk closer to him.
"Tamaki get down please," you say tears threatening to fall down your face, your hair blowing in the wind
"You don't have to do this Y/N," he says sharply. You've never seen him this way before. He was shy and always patient with you. But you deserved all of this. The tears start coming down.
"Tamaki I'm sorry, please come down, I remember everything," you plead through sobs and he realizes that you were telling the truth. He suddenly regrets everything. How selfish is he? He didn't even think how his death would impact Y/N. He slowly gets down and when he turns around you tackle him with a hug. You cry into his chest, letting out all of the guilt you feel. He stands there shocked. Maybe it was because he hasn't felt your embrace in so long, or because he was still processing everything. He buries his face and lets out everything he's been holding in. After you both cry for a bit, you both decide to walk home. You were holding hands when Tamaki speaks up.
"Ah, um, babe?" he mutters.
"Yes darling?" you ask looking at him and he points at your feet.
"What happened to your, um, shoes?" he asks and you look down. You forgot about that.
"Don't worry about that baby," you nervously giggle and he hesitates but out of nowhere picks you up, and you look at him startled. He glances at you and his nerves reach him.
"Oh! Um, I, I didn't want you to get hurt since you, um, have no shoes," he stammers and you smile at him, leaning your head on his chest, quickly getting sleepy
Now you were both in bed. You were fast asleep as Tamaki just held on to you. He still couldn't believe you were back in his arms. He hesitated but opened his mouth to speak.
"Um, hey Y/N?" he whispers.
"Yes darling," you mutter.
"This, um, this might be selfish to ask but-"
"Tamaki Amajiki, I ignored you for a year. If you asked me to jump off a cliff, I'd do it no hesitation, so ask away baby." You say firmly, turning him red. He buries his face in your neck.
"Never leave me again, please," he quickly adds in the last word and you kiss him on the top of his head.
"Even if the world pulls us apart, I'll always come running back to you."
