The wind blew a freezing air as it hurled snow though the air and what looked like record speeds. They all walked in silence as the air and snow crunching was the only thing to be heard. Dream's eyes flickered on and off for he was losing his hope, something that should never have happened to him, or at least that's what they say. Ink was dead or atleast almost there, Fell was flipped with everything as if he was becoming
Fellswap!sans and then there was Cross, he defence was up but he had as much magic as a dead unicorn.
"Hey..." Ink turned to look at them but nothing just somehow pale like faces. Ink sighed, "Forget it!" He yelled in anger.
"Look, we are just as sad and cold as you are." Cross walked side-by-side Ink now. "Don't try to think you are any more frightened than us. We all lost a friend, enemy or blood, but that doesn't mean we can lose hope." Cross spoke with a confident reassuring voice but he had very little himself. "Don't worry."
"Yea, yea. Whatever, don't tell me that you don't have a goddamn coat ready for another ice age!" Ink yelled at him.
"One, we didn't know this was going to happen. Two, I have been wearing this for a while now. I don't think that matters even!"
"Well it kind of doesn't know what we were going to walk into." Fell croaked at them. "We may not have had this in mind but we know."
"How are you so sure?! What if we are in the wrong multiverse?! Then what?!" Ink loaded them with more questions than they could hold in their head.
They then stopped at a clearing. To only argue about whatever came to mind.
"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME!" Ink yelled at them throwing hands in the air as Fell threw some punches.
"MAYBE WE SHOULD WE HAVE BEEN NEEDING TO KNOW ABOUT OUR HERO OR IDIOT OF A CREATOR WE SHOULD SAY!" Cross yelled back.
"DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?" Ink yelled, having a firm grip on his brush but not in a fighting manor. "I HAVE NO PAST! I HAVE NO CHILDHOOD! I JUST WANT WHAT'S BEST FOR THE MULTIVERSE!" He trailed off, gasping losing his voice.
The negativity was rising as Dream sat on a side on a snow drift sinking in so much he was in with the normal puffed up non snow drifts. He had a small gate in front of him as he made his little temporary ice chair. He looked at the sky, feeling the lockdown a stronger feeling than before chills were literally shot down his spine. He looked at the North Star. At the beauty of it the coldness it had and still seemed to glow bright. It reminded him of his brother, Nightmare. Always a nice bright person with so much but none would want it. For something he could not control but Dream could but he didn't and then he was there at his place now in a cold place, trying to regain the trust and the worth getting a second shot for Nightmare. Only matters were more serious.
Ink, Fell and Cross flapped their lips at one another making sounds that seemed weird but normal the same time, like a shouted word that stopped and Ink almost fell over because of it was Egg-beater or fart-tart. They really didn't have many ideas of what to do with anything any more. It was like a horrible democracy less organized so an argument basically.
"Hey Ink!" He singled him over. Ink didn't stop yelling. Dream sighed then turned back to the thing in what seemed to be another clearing. He looked at it for what could be inturnuty. Then everyone was tired out from screaming, and maybe Cross lost his voice. "Come on guys, we can't keep yelling at each other." Dream waved his hand getting their attention, "I see a village, sort of. Let's keep going!"
They were on the move, they found a river and a bridge that bent over top of it. Two light post guarded each side of the bridge and a fairly smooth white pebbles that look like they were covered with oil glittered the curved arch.
"It's the only way." Cross spook up giving someone a glance. "Can we take any chances?"
"How else do we get across? Do you want us to swim in this river of what knows what!" He did stand a point, the river was blue. Not clear but litany blue. A few strokes and slim strings slivered down the river going with the cerent. Ink took off at the first half of the bridge. "You coming?" He turned back and quickly took off chasing his wonders.
He was followed by Dream and Cross who galloped across, and then Fell. He walked just like if his guarding post was a few yards away and he could rest so relieved. But that wasn't the case. They then saw now too shortly after a village, white limbs and deep brown coloured frames, every house looked unique somehow. Some were bigger and others didn't look like houses. But they all had one thing in common, it was all BLACK 'n' WHITE. None was in the village paths that look like the bridge just more pinky and someone-threw-up-on-it. A thing opened a door and turned away from them.
They saw one crippling hand that was holding a walking stick that had been made of a branch and circled at the top. He had a rope on with a hood that cover about a quarter of a door out from his face and it had a faded blue color and near the needs of his hood, sleeves and bottom there was a squat pattern the rim was a light faded blue and it had every other square poking up. "La dee dum... Le Da- no, no." He muttered to himself, having his other green vein popping hand on his face."That's not right." He croaked again with a sound of being a bit angered and Unpleased.
"Hey!" Ink called from behind and almost gave the man a heart attack.
"Oh! I'm so sorry lord- How may I serve you?" He did a small bow now shaking with what Ink couldn't tell.
"Lord? Who?"
"Mm-huh, you're not from here. I apologize for my misbehaviour." He turned again and began chanting his little song again, muttering curses at himself for messing up.
"Do you know anything about this place?" Fell put his hands on the sides of his mouth.
"Ehh? I suppose I can talk for a little while, after all there are few people here." The creature walked back down in front of them, roughly about the same height. "What are your questions?"
"Well for starters, where is this out friend? If you do know!" Ink chimed in sitting on his brush.
"Hmmm, give me some info about this so-called friend of yours."
"He is from another universe. He is all black with goop, one eye is covered?"
"Oh! Him... he is with the master." The man rubbed his head.
"Who is this master?" Ink asked yet another question.
"He is who controls this universe. Without him we would be all dead. He is also the one who ate all the apples... good and bad. He lives up that mountain over there." He pointed to a rock that reached past the clouds. "It may seem far but because of our time speed up you may think it's an hour but it's really just five minutes. So you strength is more."
"And the last one would be... what is this place?""This place once was the human village." They started to walk to a hill. Verios statuses stood everywhere humans with all sorts of animal parts. One had wings made of crystals, some had tails that poofed with fluff or bones that could hurt to just feel. "The master will create anything to please his darling, story's, people, magic. Anything for that matter." He sighed. "Your friend is probably at the point of no return. There is just no point in trying to save him if the master had him."
"But why?!" Dream cried out.
"If you had everything you ever wanted would you leave?"
"Well no, it's perfect!" Dream though about the perfect world to him.
"Exactly! That's what has happened to him."
