monday morning
9:21 A.M.

kenji kageyma
"kana lets go!"

kana kageyma
"no! it looks scary!"

kenji kageyma
"it's not! daddy promised
it's not!"

kana eyed the daycare building suspiciously,
still refusing to enter, even after kageyma
dropped them both off in a hurry. he was running
late for practice, and did not need to hear ushijima's
lecture about how being late for practice will
weaken you as a player.

kenji looked at his sister in worry, he knew
they needed to go inside before the bell rang,
or else they would be marked absent. that would
lead to a phone call home, and kenji didn't want
to anger his dad.

kenji kageyma
"here."

kana looked towards kenji, who had his
hand outstretched towards her.

she looked at him confused.

kenji kageyma
"you can hold my hand
so it's less scary."

kana smiled happily at her brother,
and quickly grabbed onto his hand.

kana kageyma
"thank you, kenji!"

kenji smiled back, tugging her softly
to signify that they are going to start walking.

kenji kageyma
"just giving a helping
hand to my, sister!"

the twins walked into the school
building, hand in hand. they walked
around for awhile, until kana realized that
they had no idea where they were going.

she stopped walking, causing
kenji to stop as well.

kana kageyma
"kenji?"

the boy looked at her, tilting his
head in confusion.

kenji kageyma
"yes, kana? why
did you stop?"

kana kageyma
"do you know where we
are going?"

it was quiet for a moment, just
both ravenette kids looking at each other.

kenji was the first to speak up.

kenji kageyma
"no..."

kana's eyes started to water, she
then threw herself onto kenji.

kana kageyma
"w-w-what if we-we don't
get to-to see dad-daddy again?!"

kenji went into a sight panic himself, but
knew he had to stay strong because kageyma
taught him to always protect his sister!

kenji kageyma
"w-we will!"

"we just n-need to ask
for help!"

kenji frantically looked around,
trying to spot someone. he lost all hope,
until he saw a lady walk out through a door.

the little ravenette gleamed, grabbing his,
still crying sister's hand, and ran towards the adult.

kenji kageyma
"uhm! excuse me, miss!"

the [color] haired woman turned around,
her [color] eyes looking at them softly.
a confused smile was displayed on her face.

???
"hello?"

the lady crouched down to the
height of both kids.

???
"can i help you
both with anything?"

kenji was going to speak up, until he
was interrupted by his sister.

kana kageyma
"uhm yes! help us find
our classroom!"

kenji kageyma
"kana! say please!"

kana kageyma
"no! you say please!"

kenji kageyma
"you were the one who asked,
so you're supposed to say it!"

kana kageyma
"well-!"

kana and kenji's bickering were interrupted
by the ladies sweet laughter.

y/n l/n
"i'm guessing your
both, kana and kenji?"

"i'm your homeroom teacher,
y/n l/n! but, call me, ms. l/n!"

the twins looked at their said
homeroom teacher.

kana kageyma
"you're our teacher?"

the teacher nodded, her [color] hair
bouncing as her head moved.

kana stared at her in awe, before
she ran up to her and tackled the woman
into a hug.

kenji freaked out for a moment at his
sisters sudden tackle.

kenji kageyma
"kana! get off of, ms. l/n!"

kana kageyma
"no! she's so pretty! i wanted
to hug her!"

the teacher gawked at the girl's words.

she thinks i'm pretty...omg let me
be your mother RIGHT NOW!, the young
teacher thought.

y/n shook her head, dismissing her
stupid thoughts. she gently plucked
kana off of her.

y/n l/n
"thank you, kana!
you're a gorgeous girl
yourself!"

kana slapped both her hands on
her cheek, smiling widely.

kana kageyma
"really?! no girl has ever called
me pretty before! only daddy, uncle
sho, uncle rai, and uncle ushi have!"

y/n l/n
"well i'm happy to be the
first one."

"now, would you two like
to go to your classroom now?"

both kids nodded their heads eagerly.
y/n smiled softly at them, and grabbed each
of their small hands.

the three of them walked the whole
way to the classroom.

their teacher turned let go of their
hands once reaching the classroom.

"are you guys ready
to go in?"

kenji kageyma
"yes, teacher!"

kana kageyma
"it's, ms, l/n, kenji! don't
say 'teacher'! it's rude!"

kenji kageyma
"oh...sorry.."

a harmonic giggle left y/n's lips,
she crouched down, ruffling kenji's hair.

y/n l/n
"it's alright, sweetie!"

kenji's face brightened. her touches
reminded him of his father, which he
loved so much, so he felt happy when she
ruffled his hair.

kenji kageyma
"okay ms. l/n, we're ready
to go in!"
