The next morning I was awoken by messages going off on my phone. When I looked to see who it was, I saw that none other than LeeShaun had texted me.

I roll my eyes at the messages, and turn over to tell David the good news, to find that he wasn't there. I got up from the bed, walking into the living room to see a small note on the counter signed by him.

"Dear," I read aloud. "I have to go run a few errands. Don't get expect me back for awhile. I noticed that the house needed cleaned so that's what you can do."

After I got the house cleaned, I decided to go to the store for a bit of grocery shopping but while I was there, I ran into LeeShaun and Daphne.

"Li!" Daphne said as she ran and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. "Where's your husband?"

"I'm not sure entirely sure..." I say and LeeShaun gave me a knowing look. "Before you say anything, he left a note and told me he would be back later."

"Did that note also say that you needed to clean your already perfectly perfect house?" He scoffed. I didn't even have to say anything for him to know the answer. "That man is just absolutely disgusting! Why in the hell are you still married to him?!"

"Because I love him." I mutter.

"That's not love." LeeShaun states. "It's all one sided for you two. You give the love and he throws it in a trash can behind some seven-eleven somewhere."

"You're being dramatic." I wave him off and turn to Daphne. "Congratulations, LeeShaun told me about the big news."

"I'm super excited. You are coming to our party next Saturday, right? You can bring David of course."

"I would gladly come. I'm sure David will be thrilled to join me as well."

"That's not what I'm worried about. I want to know what is actually happening behind closed doors. You have the tendency of saying that your okay just so people don't worry about you and it honestly scares the duck out of me, Li."

"He's right, babe." Daphne agrees. "You really do need to let somebody know if he isn't treating you well."

"Your safety is the most important thing at the moment."
