Sparks (Draco Malfoy)

"David, are you still going with me to the party?" I ask. Today is LeeShaun and Daphne's party and I could hardly get David out of bed this morning.

"Is there free alcohol?" He asks with a serious face.

"I'm guessing so, yeah." I shrug. I mean- it would only be fitting for them to have at least free champagnes Shaun and Daph enjoy drinking it, and you know they can surely afford it.

"Fine, I'll go. But I'm not staying long, I just want a drink and then we're leaving." He states, gettin up from the dining table and going back towards our room to get dressed.

Moments later he steps out in jeans and a flannel shirt. "Is that what you're wearing?" I ask, trying not to judge him.

"Do you have a problem with it?" He spat. He was reding in the face. I knew he was getting aggravated, so I had to back down a bit

"No, I think you look very dashing." I smile. We are going somewhere with rich, fancy, pureblood wizards and he's going to wear that.

"Let's go. I don't have all night, I have places I need to be." He demands, holding his hand out for me. We apparate right outside Palmer Manor, greeted with classical music and people in very formal attire.

I, myself were wearing a silk green floor length dress that was a gift from my aunt, Cho's mother, when I got married.

"I'm going to find something to drink." He walks off as soon as we enter the party. Before I even had time to react, LeeShaun came up behind me.

"Did you see what your husbands wearing?!" He cringes. "it's absolutely terrible. I have lost a bit of respect for you, letting him walk out of the house like that."

"Never mind what my husband chose to wear." I shrug him off. "This party doesn't particularly scream LeeShaun and Daphne. Who exactly put this party together."

"My bloody mother. It doesn't help that Daphne is terrified of what my mum thinks of her, she was sucking up to her all weekend. Y'know, going along with whatever she says and does."

"I'm sure she'll only be like that until the wedding. By the she doesn't need your mothers approval anymore. She's already married."

"Why does she just feel like she just needs my mums validation? It's just doesn't make sense." He complained.

"Are you talking about me?" Daphne asks as she appears next to us. "I was just wanting to introduce you to someone, Li." She smiles, as if she's up to something.

"I- let me find David-"

"We'll be really quick." LeeShaun cut me off. "I'll go fetch him, meet us in the third floor balcony." He winks and walks off.

"Do you want to get a drink before we head up there?" Daphne asks. "Shaun'a mother made sure we had the best of the best."

"Um- yeah. We can get a drink." I say, as she pulls me toward a table, picking up to glasses of wine and handing me one.

"Come on, LeeShaun and our guest are already up there already." She says as we walked through the crowd and up multiple flights of stairs. Walking out on the balcony, there are two men. One being LeeShaun and the other a tall pale man with white hair.

"Li!" Shaun exclaimed, as soon as he saw me. "Fancy to see you up here!" He made a big deal for some reason, making both the man and I uncomfortable.

"You drug me out here." I say with a straight face. The man raises his glass a little and then takes a sip from it, as if he's agreeing with me."

"LeeShaun, stop." Daphne says seriously. "Li, this is Draco Malfoy. Draco, this is Li Tang. She came here from Fenghuang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Draco studied at Hogwarts with Shaun and I. He introduced us actually." She smiled.

"It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Draco Malfoy." I say extending my hand for him to shake. Instead he brings my hand up to his lips to place a gentle kiss on it, while making eye contact.

"You as well Ms. Tang, but I must excuse myself, I'm here with someone." He says, and LeeShaun scoffs.

"I swear to god! Is it Parkinson?! Why is it always Parkinson?"

"We'll talk about this later, Palmer." He says, walking out of the area. He seems like a good, loyal man.

"So... what did you think about Draco?" Daph asks, leaning on the ledge of the balcony. "He's super charming, good looking, and single."

"You're fiancé is sitting right here." LeeShaun reminds her.

"He's very sweet, but I've known him for less than two minutes, he's here with someone else, and I'm married." I have to remind them. They seem to disregard everything when it comes to my marriage, though they were both there.

"That really doesn't seem like a dilemma in this situation." LeeShaun says blankly.

"LeeShaun I live with David. You," I turned to Daphne. "Introduced me as Tang and not Roqueé. I've been Roqueé for forever!" I exclaim.

"Fine." He huffs. "We'll stop trying to get you out of your abusive relationship. When your over him you can come to us though. We'll help then." He says, leaving the balcony and disappearing back into the party.

"Sorry about him." Daphne sighs. "He's just really worried about you. He sees you as his sister. He just doesn't want anything bad to happen to you."

"I know that." I nod.

The next day, I woke up feeling nauseous and had a horrible headache. David was nowhere to be seen, but I needed help

I was sat hunched over the toilet when arrived at my house. "Are you okay? Can I get you anything?" Cho asks as she rushed toward my side immediately.

"The other night, David got angry at me and wanted to have sex. But I didn't want to so- so-" I couldn't finish due to the tears streaming down my face uncontrollably.

"He didn't-" Cho gasped and I nodded rapidly. "Do you think you may be-?" I nod again. "Give me a second." She walks out of the room to come back with a pregnancy test. "I'm going to stand in the hall while you take this, then I'll come back to look at the results with you." She says, walking out of the door.

After we I take the test, she comes back in. "Are you ready?" She asks as she picks up the test.

"Yes."
