[ TW panic attack, anxiety, claustrophobia]
Having an anxiety disorder sucks, sometimes you feel anxious for absolutely no reason and Zak was no stranger to it. There has been multiple times in some investigations Zak has felt extremely anxious and had to sit down for a bit and wait for it to pass. Zak and Nick where investigating a old prison. Aaron was off in the basement alone as usual. It was about 2am, both of them walking around the C wing. They haven't caught much so far.
"Zak"
"Yeah dude?"
"You should go into jail 13" Nick snickered. Apparently in jail 13 theres a entity that likes to mess your mind up. It's also very cramped...and small...very tight.
"Uh" Zak glanced up stairs, on the 2nd story and looking into the cramped room known as jail 13 "alright..." he said unsure.
"Great!" Nick exclaimed "I'll leave you up there for 10 minutes, I'll be down here, theres already a camera set up outside of the cell" Zak nodded and slowly descended up the stairs and occasionally looked back down at Nick.
Zak stepped into the dark cell, feeling a chill go through him from how cold it was. Side stepping around the bed, he sat on what was left of the bed which was just springs. Zak slowly looked around the room, looking closely in every corner. He felt his heart beat start to rise a bit, his breath hitched when he saw a shadow out the corner of his eyes. Zak started to panic. Why's he panicking though? He witnesses shadows all the time, this entity seems like it's everywhere but nowhere. Zak felt like he was being watched, like a predator stalking out it's prey. He felt it's sharp glare all around him. He felt the heavy feeling that the cell carried with it.
"..Nick?" He quietly called, his voice cracking.
Zak started to shake, his leg bounced off the floor.
"Nick?" He called again, a bit louder. Could Nick hear him?
"Yeah?" A very faint shout echoed up to the 2nd story.
"Nick..something weird is happening" Zak called, his voice cracking.
"What do you mean?" It echoed up again.
Zak was about to reply but he couldn't...he couldn't
"Zak?" Nick called out, Receiving no reply. Nick walked up to the 2nd floor.
"Zak?" He called again on the stairs, picking up the pace he rushed over to jail 13.
"Zak?" Nick softly said, seeing his panicked friend.
"nick.." Zak breathed out "I'm gonna have a panic attack" Zak's eyes started to tear up.
"Ok..come on let's get you out" nick held out his hand, feeling Zak's cold ones grab ahold, he pulled the shorter up. Slowly Nick took Zak out of the cell, as they got down to the ground, Zak pretty much collapsed onto Nick.
"Careful" Nick whispered, dragging his fingers through the shorter mans black hair.
"Breath Zak breath" Nick whispered, holding the shorter close "your safe now, deep breaths"
"It was messing with my head Nick-"
"I know"
"It felt like the walls were closing in and- and-"
"Shhh" Nick rubbed Zak's back. He slowly sat down on the floor, taking Zak down with him.
Zak stared down at the dark grey floor, fiddling with his fingers to help calm him down.
"Here" nick pulled out Zak's inhaler out of his pocket, handing it to Zak.
"Thanks dude.." Zak's quiet voice spoke out.
"No problem, you still probably should carry on of these" gestured to the inhaler "on you at all times"
"Haha, yeah sorry" Zak giggles, nodding.
"Come on, let's get some more evidence" nick stood up slowly. Zak joining him.
"But your not going in that cell again" nick added.
