Before I could even say anything. my phone started ringing. I pushed him away lightly. The atmosphere completely changed. I reached for my phone inside my pocket reading the name of who called.

"Who is it?" Jungkook asked.

"Ahm, it's Kai. The guy I met--" I stopped because jungkook interrupted me before I could say anything else.

"Yeah yeah, the guy you met at a café" He said sounding annoyed. Jungkook takes a step back and walked towards his desk. Way to go ruining the mood.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

Somehow I find it annoying--I find this guy so called "Kai" annoying. Who even is he? Most importantly why am I annoyed? I mean I don't have the right to be annoyed. I haven't even met the guy yet and his also y/n's friend. I shouldn't react so rudely.
I gaze at her, she was just standing there. Why are you just standing there? I decided to speak up.

"You aren't gonna pick it up?" I said realizing that it came out pretty harsh. She jerked her head and looked at me before looking at her phone.

Don't pick up please, I know. I may sound selfish right now. But I don't seem to care. Why?

"Sorry" she sincerely said. Don't give me that look. It's not fair. I just nodded while she walked out answering the phone. I watched her till the door shuts in front of me. I have no clue why I reacted that way, it might just be the fact that I don't seem to like "Kai"

Y/N'S POV

"Hey~" I greeted him. It's not like I'm annoyed or anything in fact I might need to be thankful towards Kai, if it wasn't for him calling I wouldn't know what to say to jungkook.

"Hey, I just wanted to know how did it go?" He asked me. Probably referring to my work. How did it go? I couldn't possibly say that I received a "almost love confession" from my boss. Come on y/n think of an excuse.

"Ahh, it went well" I replied nervously. Please buy it, please buy it--

"That's good then" He said. Nice!

"By the way, when are you gonna be available?" He asked. Did this dude forgot that I'm in a "relationship"

"Did you forget that I'm in a relationship--" I was cut off. Man what's with people interrupting me.

"I did not forget, I'm asking you in a friendly way. You'know uhm-- God I sound weird" He said frustrated. It made me laugh at how awkward he is.

"It's fine, I understand you. Well, I'm currently working on something ya'know, but I'll approach you if I have time, what do you say?"

"Sure I'm fine with that" he replied. The both of us laughed. A few moments later I needed to put an end to this because I remembered that jungkook was waiting.

"Hey Kai, I gotta go"

"Sure goodluck on your work, remember to call me"

"Yeah, bye" I hang up. Now... I took a deep breath. How should I face jungkook now?! I stayed still in front of jungkook's office. I decided to not run away and quietly open the door. I saw jungkook's back facing me. He was just standing there staring outside. He looks so majestic, he's like a prince. A perfect jawline, amazing body figure... How could someone be effortlessly beautiful. He suddenly turned towards me.

"Oh, I didn't notice you were right there y/n~" He smiled at me. I suddenly turned my gaze to something else and ended up gazing to a stack of papers on his desk oh look uhm papers yeah. I decided that now is the perfect time to change the topic.

"Any meetings today?" I asked. He sat down.

"I don't think so?" He answered but it came out more like a question. I raised an eyebrow.

"Why did it came out like you're asking me?" I replied. He stared at the wall for a second.

"I don't know" he wondered. Cute

"Oh by the way here's the files" He said handing me the files. I reached my hand and took it. A long awkward silence enveloped us. I started to overthink why is it so quiet? Should I say something? Before I could speak up jungkook's phone started ringing. He walked to the corner of the room and picked up. I decided not to listen because I didn't want to be involved and besides this couldn't be my problem...right?

After he was done talking to someone on the phone he went back to his desk and looked at me. I tense up because he had a different look. Okay I spoke to soon, this might be a problem.

"So you don't have anything else to say, right ms.L/N?" His tone change into a orotund one. I gulped. Haha why did the atmosphere change again.

"Y-Yes mr.jeon" I said nervously. His face suddenly soften up but quickly change. He smiled at me.  I am sure that, that's a fake smile right there.

"Please,leave" He strangled. I was taken aback. A little while ago he just said those,sweet things to me, now his asking me to leave. This--this doesn't make any sense.

"Excuse me? What--did something happened?" I looked at him feeling concern. His faces remain unchanged. I can't read his expression at all. Tell me what's the problem~

"You don't need to know anything ms.L/N, None of this is your business" I don't know why but I feel so hurt. You told me not to push you away, but now you're the one who's pushing me away.

"Jungkook-"

" I guess I didn't make myself clear,LEAVE"

"No, I want to stay. You told me not to push you away, i won't anymore so stop pushing me away" my voice going brittle. He remained unbothered. This annoyed me.

"Leave" He taut. Something isn't right. I could feel it. I know it. Why?! Are you worried of something jungkook? What's this feeling growing inside of me, I hate it. I hate this feeling. I can't think straight. I gaze upon his face one more time. This expression. I dislike it very much. I can't be here anymore. I must go... Now.

"Sure, I'll leave. Have a nice day mr.jeon!!" I let out before walking away with anger Inside of me. I left slamming the door shut in front of his face.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

"STUPID"

"I'm stupid"

"There goes my chance"
