Ruv watched silently as the Father of the church shouted at Sarv. Every ounce of blood in the Russian's body wanted to snap that man's bones for being rude to his friend. Sadly, he didn't want to bring much more negative attention, even if it DID mean somebody being rude to Sarv.

Ruv had to admit, he didn't think such an innocent girl like Sarv would ever be... a demon... like that. She seemed like an angel. He looked back up at the girl he thought he knew so well. She was now crying and begging the Father to keep her in the church.

"NO! FOR THE LAST TIME, SARVENTE!", The Father yelled, causing Sarv to flinch. "I WILL HAVE NO SPAWN OF SIN WITHIN THIS HOUSE OF GOD! NOW REMOVE YOURSELF AND YOUR CRIMINAL FRIEND FROM THIS HOLY PLACE."

"But, Father-!", Sarv started. The poor girl was interrupted by nuns grabbing her arms and dragging her away. Sarv began crying, begging once more, and making praying hands trying to show she still had faith in God. The Father merely snapped his head away from her and slammed his door.

Ruv felt a hand grab his arm and instinctively shoved it off. He noticed that the Mother had grabbed him. Her face was firm and disappointed. "I believed in you, boy", she said in her old, croaky voice. "I thought you would keep this place safe. It seems I placed my faith in the wrongest of men. I am highly disappointed in you, and hope you never return."

Ruv frowned a little. He didn't know why the words stung a bit. Perhaps it was because she had helped raise him when he ran from home. Ruv simply bowed to Mother a bit and took a crying Sarv out of the church. He could feel their holy eyes stabbing into his back. It was uncomfortable.

Once they were a ways away from the church, Sarv once again burst into tears. "What are we going to do, Ruv?", she sobbed. "Now we've no home or food! We'll die of starvation and cold! Has God really abandoned me again?"

"It will be fine", Ruv said, not fully believing it himself. "We can figure something out. However, for food, I know a place that gives apples for free. The cider farm. We can get few and that should help fill us up for while."

Sarv sniffled and nodded, smiling at Ruv. "Guess I can always count on you, right?"

Ruv gave her a short shoulder-hug and patted her head. "Let us go. We will need to get there before sun is at horizon."

"You sound like you're slowly forgetting what grammar is, Ruv", Sarv chuckled.

"Hush", Ruv slightly hissed, now pulling her to the cider farm.

On their way, they heard what sounded like a blasted guitar. Sarv seemed unbothered by it, but Ruv found it painful. He backed up slightly, pulling on the strings of his hat to muffle the noise a bit. Meanwhile, his pink friend walked closer and seemed to vibe to the music. Of course SHE'D love it. Sarv was always blasting rock whenever nobody else was in the church but her and Ruv. It was rock that sung about God in a loving way, but STILL.

Ruv didn't quite like the sound of such an angered guitar. At least- it SOUNDED angry. Ruv had always had the ability to pick up on what people were feeling. He mainly used it to tell when Sarv was sad, or when somebody was thinking something. It was something he took pride on, but nobody knew about it. Just how he liked it.

The ear-ripping sound stopped and instead was replaced by the sound of frantic footsteps running away. Ruv noticed a familiar blue head, and found a bit of anger. Sarv must've noticed too, because she went to keep her friend from bashing that blue hair into their brains. Unfortunately, the one who must've been a guitar noticed them.

His head snapped over to them, and his face was in a rage. He appeared to be a bomb, dressed in a teal sweater and orange-brown baggy jeans. The fuse on his head was burning like a campfire, and his eyes blazed even hotter.

Ruv felt a bead of sweat come down his cheek. This guy was 10 types of intimidating. Sarv mainly looked surprised. Then again... she's probably seen worse before. Not a lot of people liked the idea of God here. Some people even tried attacking the people who worked there. One dude had a knife when he came in, and took a swing at Sarv. Luckily, Ruv got in the way, but it resulted in a large scar over his eye.

Sarv had given him a cloth to put over his eye. She had sewn it herself, and even put a cool-looking symbol on it. Ruv remembered accepting it gratefully when she gave it to him.

"OI, WHAT DO YOU TWO WANT!?", the bomb said, his voice like a broken guitar. Ruv was snapped back to reality when he heard that voice. His heart raced and he found himself backing up slightly.

"Oh, don't worry sir, we're just passing by!", Sarv said, quickly picking up on Ruv's uncomfortable aura. The bomb went up to them. Ruv, for the first time, found himself looking up. He sunk down a bit and backed up, his eyes slowly widening. Those orange eyes seemed to burn into his soul.

"What are you, a soviet!?", The bomb said, grabbing Ruv's hat. Ruv looked at his hat, then quickly noticed the fuse. That thing wasn't getting any farther from what it would set off. Suddenly, there was a gasp from the side.

"Whitty!", a brown-skinned girl called. Her hair was VERY curly. "Calm down! You'll explode again, and you know it hurts to put yourself back!"

This so-called 'Whitty' looked at her for a moment. Then he took a deep breath and the fuse went out. The bomb sloppily shoved Ruv's hat back onto the Russian's head. Ruv took in a shaky breath and backed up a little while this so-called 'Whitty' was calmer.

"I apologize for my giant friend here.", the curly-head said. "He can't control his emotions very well, and when his fuse is lit, almost nothing calms him down. Again, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, right Ruv?", Sarv said, nudging Ruv's arm a bit. Ruv just gave an awkward nod, still trying to keep himself from hyperventilating. Jeez this bomb guy was intimidating.

Whitty must've noticed Ruv's fear, because he put a hand on Ruv's shoulder. At first Ruv flinched, but he felt it warming up gently, releasing some of his stress. The striped man seemed to calm down a little bit more. "'M sorry 'bout that", Whitty said, letting go of Ruv's shoulder.

Ruv grabbed the shoulder that Whitty touched, feeling fluttery for a moment. "...It's K", he finally said, looking back at the giant bomb.

"Sorry, Carol", Whitty then said, looking down at the curly-headed girl. 'Carol' simply gave him a pat on the leg, as if to say 'think nothing of it'.

"Here, you guys look starving", Carol said. Sarv was about to say 'yes' when her tummy said it for her. Carol laughed a bit at the now flustered Sarv. "Guess that's a yes!", Carol laughed. "Here, let us treat you to some food. Our treat!"

Ruv was about to protest when Sarv jumped up. "Oh, thank you!", she said. "That would be absolutely wonderful!"

Ruv opened his mouth for a moment then closed it, looking back up at the bomb. Whitty seemed to be trying to jump at a chance to apologize. "...Fine, we will go", Ruv said, turning his head to the ground.

"Yay!", Carol exclaimed. "I know just the place! They have the best gumbo in the city! Ooo- and you should taste their jambalaya! It's to DIE for!"

Sarv let out an excited squeal, jumping a little as she imagined the 'famous' dishes. Ruv had to admit; best in the city sounded good. He looked up at Whitty, who chuckled at the girls. Yet another flutter came up when Whitty noticed him and looked at him. Ruv snapped his head back to the ground, burying his head in the fluff of his jacket.

Ruv could just sense what else Sarv was thinking, and he didn't like it.

Here we go again.
