Sidharth was horrified when he saw what he had done. He immediately grabbed a duvet and covered her. He untied her hands, put on his clothes and with shaking hands shook her to check. She moved a little and he immediately picked up the glass of water and held her head up to help her sip the water. She sipped it unknowingly.
His tears were unstoppable. She opened her eyes and when she recalled the event, she pushed him away. He kept the glass on the table and kneeled on the floor near the bed where she was sitting covered in the duvet.
Sidharth: Punish me Shehnaaz (he said with his head down as he cried) I wouldn't complain a bit neither will I ask for your forgiveness. I have sinned and I am not worth of forgiveness.
She wrapped the duvet securely. She didn't cry, she wasn't weak. She got down from the bed, opened her suitcase and took out a fresh pair of clothes. He silently watched her limp away to the bathroom. Her reaction would have probably reduced his guilt but her silence was killing him.
She came out of the bathroom limping after having a bath. He had removed the stained bedsheets and changed into fresh ones. She picked up a mat and layed on the floor but he held the mat and pointed his hand at the bed. She didn't look at his face but only his hands. She went and curled up in the bed.
It was Saturday morning and it was a day off so Sidharth quietly went into the kitchen and made a breakfast and tea. He took it to her bed.
Sidharth: Shehnaaz, please eat the breakfast.
She got up in silence and ate her breakfast and drank her tea. Sidharth pulled the plate from her hand and washed it. He didn't eat his breakfast. He went back to the room and sat on the mat resting his back to the wall behind.
For the next two days, he did all her work. He didn't allow her to do any work apart from bathing and attending nature calls. He ate very little and stayed around her. But she didn't utter a single world. He missed her voice, her quarrel, her anger, her giggles she shared with Suchi. He was ready to do anything to make her do all this again.
Rachana calls him and informs about the demise of her sister-in-law and that she will take sometime to be back.
It was Monday morning and Sidharth wondered whether she will go to office or not. He still woke up much early, bathed and prepared the lunch box and the breakfast. When he went back to the room she was sitting ready to go to the office. He quickly grabbed her a breakfast in a plate and gave her. She ate in silence. He went to get ready and when he came back she was gone to office.
He picked up the two lunch boxes and went to office. He goes to her cabin to give her the lunch box. However, he finds Asim in the cabin. She held her head in her hand while Asim stood near her leaning on to her desk.
Asim: Hey Shehnaaz, your 1 month is over today and you lost your dare. Oh!! Look at your defeated face! I love it, you rejected my proposal that day with an attitude. Now, I see your ego broken into pieces. So be ready loser, next week we are getting married.
Sidharth goes inside and slaps him.
Asim: Hey!! What's your problem bro?
Sidharth: You loser, She is my wife!!
Asim: What? When did you get married to her? Even after telling you that she is playing with your emotions and that she accepted a dare to marry you, you went ahead to marry her?
Sidharth: Yes, I married her before you told me that.
Shehnaaz looked at him in shock as he already knew that she married him for the dare, yet he kept quiet and stayed with her in this marriage.
