His bike came to halt at the parking lot but she didn't realize. She was still sitting in the same position. A slight smile left his lips. He had both his legs placed on the ground to support and balance the bike but he didn't move neither did he speak.
After sometime, Shehnaaz opened her eyes and realized that they were in the parking lot. She slowly loosened her grips on his chest and took out her hand through his underarms. She got down from the bike and he parked it properly before they made their way home via lift. Their clothes were dripping wet.
Sidharth: You go first and change, I'll change after you.
She nodded and changed her clothes followed by Sidharth. Shehnaaz gets a mop and wipes of the water which dripped on the floor. She starts sneezing.
Sidharth: Shehnaaz leave it, I'll do it. Go and sit on the bed before you catch more cold.
Shehnaaz: It's almost done. I'll go!
He stares strictly and she passes the mop to him and goes inside the room. He wipes the remaining portion and makes a masala chai with ginger for themselves. She takes a sip.
Shehnaaz: This is so good! Thanks Sidharth.
Sidharth: Do you want to eat something?
Shehnaaz: No, I am still full with vada pav.
Sidharth: Me too.
They call it a day as both settle on their respective side of the bed with their back facing each other. However their mind was still not getting over the emotions. They both turned to face each other. Their eyes were doing the communication and Shehnaaz moved closer hugging him. He lifted her head with one hand and slide his other arm under it to find solace. She softly kissed his heart.
Without uttering a word they were speaking volumes to each other. Her head was close to his heart, she was listening to it's rhythm. It was healing her wounds. He was her medicine for the pain she went through few days back.
Is this the essence we were looking for in our relationship? Is this love or am I lusting over him? How do you know when you fall in love? Who do I ask? Mumma, I wish you were alive today. He is reciprocating to my every emotion as if he is listening to my heart and reading my mind. This is not just friendship, I know this because I have a best friend, Varun. Should I ask Varun about this alien feeling? Hmmm.. yes!
Sidharth on the other hand was feeling lighter.
The closer she comes, farther goes my guilt. Are these the sign that she is accepting me? Does she also feels the same I feel for her? I am scared to approach because I don't want to make her conscious nor risk of her shying away from me. These emotions are delicate than the silence. I fear that putting it in words might break them. I will let the fate decide the flow of these emotions.

The alarm went off and for the first time in his life Sidharth turned it off but didn't move a bit. He didn't wanted her to go away from him. She was like an oxygen support to a dying person in ICU to him. He wanted to enjoy every bit of her until she woke up.
The door bell rang and both of them woke up. He went to attend the door whereas she went to the washroom.
It was Rachana and Suchi. Sidharth smiled and hugged them.
Rachana: You were sleeping? I thought you would have woke up by now.
Sidharth: Aa.. The alarm didn't work I guess.
Rachana: Is it? Change the battery. (She goes inside)
Suchi: I know why the alarm refused to work.
