"Aaaaah!!" Iris cried out, barely dodging a bullet but nonetheless pretended that they had gotten her. The robots began to come toward her from her left. Perfect. She turned just as she was about to hit the ground and front flipped, getting away from them for the moment. She stopped and turned toward them. Iris started doing jumping jacks and waved at them. She waited until they were close and began a full on sprint at them.
They had already opened fire. The robots could tell her blood levels had not dropped at all, signifying that they had not hit her, and continued their pursuit. One of them reached out, but Iris was ready. She had her blade out and was holding it high, slicing off its head in multiple hacking strokes. Not the best, but it worked.
Iris glared at the robots and darted to a pile of rocks. She leapt on top of them and, using them like a staircase, jumped up to the roof of the airport. She climbed down one step and kicked down some rocks, causing a mini avalanche. Rocks rained down on the robots as they came up her makeshift staircase. Soon enough, though, the weight of half a dozen icorethine and kiarnithium robots, not to mention the many lead bullets. There was a hum and an AH-1Z helicopter dropped a ladder.
Iris swung off the wall of the airport and climbed as fast as she could down to the helicopter. She climbed up the ladder, crashed through the open door of the copter, and rushed to the machine gun just as the copter took off.
...
Wiz landed the helicopter in a clearing near the edge of a forest near the city which would connect to the docks. As he and Iris exited the helicopter and made their way through the forest and city, there was a rustle in the trees. Iris noticed, but then it abruptly stopped. Watching for a few moments, she found nothing, so she merely shrugged to herself and just continued down the trail to the city.
In the city were rows and rows of street stores and shops and houses. At the end of the street was a small hut, a pearly white. Leading into it was a long line of people that looked like it would be an hour's wait. Above their heads was a small but attractive sign, "Cruise to Hawaii, Hawaii'i"
"That's where we're going. We're Hawaii, Maui, so it will be a short cruise trip. Do you know what that means?" Wiz said. Iris shook her head.
"A short cruise trip is better than a long one because a long cruise trip means more time for the RPFs to track and locate us. And short ones? The opposite," Here, Iris cuts in.
"What are RPFs?" Iris asked.
"RPFs are Robot Police Forces. Anyways, we've got to wait for this line. Might take a while, maybe an hour. Probably. Or more," Wiz replied, bounding off to catch a spot in line. "What is up with this perso- I mean, cat?" grumbled Iris, maybe a little too loud, sprinting after him. Wiz called back, "I heard that! You know I have very sensitive ears!" causing her to sigh.
They finally made it to the front of the line in about an hour and a half later. It was a strange sight, to see a 12 year old girl and a talking cat get in line for a cruise ship when the RPFs were after them, noting that there was a wanted poster right next to them. As Iris inspected it, the font was very crisp and clear, despite the obvious wear on the actual paper. "NEXT!" Wiz poked Iris. "Looks like it's our turn."
"Passport, ID card, " grunted the salesman, his gray cap lowered over his eyes.
Inside the cruise, it was packed, and Iris had to squeeze through the doorway only to be met by another wall of passengers. "Argh, I hate crowded spaces." Iris pouted.
"Okay, well deal with it. Your seat is over there, and I'm going under the chair at the other side of the ship," Wiz said, flicking his tail in the direction of the front seat. Iris abruptly nodded and made her way there. As she sat down, Iris turned on her digital headphones, then she sighed and sat down, scrolling through the movies and games on her phone, waiting for the cruise to get to her destination. "What's the wifi password?" she asked the person next to her.
