The cruise got to Iris and Wiz's destination early. As they left the ship in the crowd, Iris noticed a sign lit up by lights pointing towards a party of some sort. Wiz whacked her in the face and motioned for her to follow him. She glanced around and glared at Wiz, but he merely trotted off towards a ferris wheel in the middle of the party.

Wiz got to the ferris wheel fairly quickly. Iris, on the other hand, was still trying to convince a group of passersby that she was not the person on the Wanted poster and that was a stranger to her. Finally, Iris caught up with Wiz as he was meowing something in cat-ese to another cat. The cat nodded and dashed off toward an unknown location.

Wiz then turned to Iris and said, "You go to the ferris wheel manager and tell him that Orb sent you to retrieve the widow. Then he will tell you the direct coordinates of the power supply in the base and the fastest way to get to the widow. Got it?" Iris stared, then left Wiz behind to do some more research.

It was now sunset, and the whole carnival was gathered on a field. The whole carnival, that is, besides Wiz and Iris. They were finally ready to take down the base.

...

Iris opened her eyes to find that she was standing up on a rough stone pavement. A woman was standing next to her, crying and arguing with a man. Both of them seemed vaguely familiar. The woman was holding a young child in her arms and holding her back from the man. The young child looked much more familiar. How? Iris suddenly realized they were saying something. The woman was sobbing still, saying softly over her tears, "No. I can't." The man reached toward her. "No!" In a sudden outburst, the woman kicked him away and began to run. "No! Let me be! Leave us! Leave us alo-" she was cut off by an abrupt bloodcurdling shriek as the child began to scream, clinging to her mother's arms and as the house next to them went up in flames.

Both adults began to run, the woman running to Iris's left and the man following a few moments later. Iris began to run after them and a flaming pillar landed right where she had been standing. Suddenly lightning and thunder split the sky and it rained, blocking the view of the man, and he howled in rage and began to get crushed by another flaming plank. Iris yelped as she slid under the plank on the wet cobblestones, but her leg didn't make it. Strangely, her leg went through the plank, but she didn't have time to notice. Then everything went silent.

Iris blinked. She blinked again. She felt a furry thing brush her leg. Instinctively, she yelped and grabbed it. All of a sudden Wiz swept in front of her and hissed, "Stop. What's up with you? You wake up and grab my tail like it's a bat that's about to knock you out cold. Again."

Iris let go and said, "Nightmare. Let's just finish taking down this HQ." All of a sudden both feel something snaking around their feet, trying to bind them to the floor. Iris and Wiz look at each other, then Iris says, "You know what? Just get a plan. Now there's this weird spiderweb thing that's coming from the inner part of the tunnel trying to keep us in place, mummify us, and do who-knows-what with us while there's these really creepy spider-people-robots that are on the escape side of the tunnel and trying to kill us and bring our heads to the government."

"Simple," Wiz announced.

"How?"

"We bring them both against each other."

"How do you convince a giant, mutated spider with who knows what motive to kill robots and robots to kill that same spider?"

"If we find the source of the webs and convince them to defeat the robots, and the robots are not easy at all to defeat with spiderwebs, while we stay on the side, wait for the source to finish them off, hopefully forgetting to kill us, the source weakens, has to rest, won't stand a chance when we jump in as soon as it rests, and bam, you now have two cats assisting you, we revive the rest of the cats, and then we take down the Government HQ. Before that, we get lots of information from this place which is a crucial point of control, find out what to do next, when to do it next, where to do it next, who to wake up next, and if that all works out, then take action." Wiz proclaimed. Iris raised an eyebrow, but Wiz merely turned away with a mysterious glint in his eyes and began shredding away at his web-cuff with his claws. Iris sighed, drew her sword and set to work sawing at her webs.
