Chapter 6: The hunter vs The pack

Unknown warehouse:

It had been a week since he was given the task to hunt down a hunter. Now he and his pack had prepared for their mission. Leading this pack was a werewolf by the name of Dante. Jackal and he had a mutual friendship as he had owed Jackal a few favors. However this new task was different as he was to go after someone who had humiliated Jackal via killing off some of his men.

Dante knew when he was called Jackal was getting desperate. Even worse was the fact that these losses were getting the attention of an important figure. Thankfully for Jackal it hadn't gotten to the point an intervention would happen. But for Dante he was the last chance for Jackal to keep his head.

Currently Dante had been training his pack for their mission. Even though they fought against others such as the Taimanin they had no knowledge on this new target. All they knew was that he was a school kid who showed he could stand against some of what the dark world held. Dante was taking as many precautions he could. So far from what he was told many of Jackal's men underestimated their target or fell into an ambush.

It wasn't long till he came up with a plan for their target. Thanks to Katarina he was informed about Y/n. So Dante knew what locations to keep an eye on. The only problem was to find the perfect bait for Y/n to go after. From what Dante has learned Y/n had a sister who he has perfectly protected. Then he remembers that Y/n also had friends at the academy he went to.

Dante: Nick, Bella I have a task for you two.

Elsewhere:

Y/n was currently in class awaiting for the bell to ring. Beside him was Iori and Yuria who also waiting for the bell. Lately Y/n has been in a better mood ever since he found a new house. But he still worried about his sister's condition as she was still unconscious. Thankfully he had help in watching over her, whenever he was either at work or school Kirika and Zessica would check up on her.

Right now he was just hoping that she would wake up soon. Soon enough the bell rang and Y/n got up and prepared to go to his usual spot during lunch. Once he got to his favored spot he began to eat his lunch. However as always he had company in the form of Iori who happily ate her lunch with Y/n.

Iori: So how's the new home?

Y/n: It's been ok. Thanks to my folks who had made a good amount of wealth I was able get some things for the house. If you'd like you come over some time.

Iori: That would be nice, but I don't know if my parents would let me.

Y/n: Why would you say that? Your parents seemed ok when I stayed with you.

Iori: It's complicated.

Y/n: Iori you know you can tell me if something is bothering you.

Iori: No It's fine.

Y/n only gave her a look that told her he didn't believe her.

Iori had a sadden look as she knew Y/n wouldn't leave the problem be. She actually liked the fact that there was someone who cared about her well being. But she didn't know how to truly explain her situation to him.

Y/n then placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Y/n: Iori, you helped me when I lost a great deal. If there is a problem then let me help you.

To his surprise and shock Iori hugged him tightly as tears began to fall. After a second he returned the hug. After a minute Iori soon stopped crying and looked at Y/n.

Iori: Y-Y/n, there is something you need to know.

Y/n: What is it Iori, you can tell me.

Iori then stood up and walked in front of Y/n.
