The morning of genin meeting their sensei, Naruto woke up and did his daily warmups before taking a shower, putting getting dressed, going to breakfast, and then changing into his orange jumpsuit. He put his uniform in a storage scroll and put it in his big pouch for extra supplies like ninja wire. He then shunshined to the training field and found Tenzo-senpai and Dragon-jiji waiting for him. "Hi Dragon-jiji, Tenzo-senpai!" Naruto greeted, bouncing around like usual but with a little less vigor. You could tell he was ready to go at any moment if you were a skilled, trained professional. "Well Naruto, you've done well so far. You still have a month of training though so don't go overboard with your new team. Also, don't forget not to talk about your status here. No one must know until you've taken the chunin exams." Tenzo-senpai instructed. "Hai Tenzo-senpai." Naruto then turned to Dragon-jiji. "So Naruto, you ready? Don't forget to come here tomorrow after team training." Dragon said. "YATTA! Later guys!" Naruto exclaimed, fist pumping the air. 

He then shunshined into an alley next to the academy and walked inside, sitting down silently in the far back, putting his head down.About twenty minutes later, after everyone else filed in, Kiba came barging in with Akamaru. "SUP LOSERS?!" he exclaimed, heading towards his seat when he saw Naruto. "WHAT THE HELL IS THE DEAD LAST DOING HERE?!" he shouted, indignant. Everyone turned and looked at where he was pointing to see Naruto looking at them with an eyebrow raised. "What? Are you blind? I clearly have a headband." He said simply, pointing his thumb at his headband, rolling his eyes. "HOW DID YOU EVEN PASS?!" he replied. "They let you pass, I don't see why I can't." Naruto retorted, smirking smugly. 'Man, I know I act just like that but damn.' He thought to himself. Kiba went red-faced and sputtered at that. That's when Iruka decided to show up, using his bighead jutsu to calm them down. "Alright. Now that everyone's here, let's begin. Now that you're ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village..." Iruka lectured and then began to list if the teams and their sensei. "...Team 7 consists of Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sasuke Uchiha. Your sensei will be Kakashi Hatake..." he then continued listing off the names. 'I think I saw him in the bingo books. He's an S-class shinobi. He's supposed to be super badass. Wonder if he'll live up to the hype.' Naruto thought. Iruka then released them to lunch. While they were waiting for their sensei, Naruto chose to sit on the ceiling while practicing. 'Whatever, I should work on the kunai floating exercise. I don't need to waste precious time' he decided. About three hours later, a man with silver, gravity defying hair and porn-literature in his left hand walked in. "Yo." Greeted Kakashi Hatake, a handsome man even with his mask who is chronically late, before having to dodge a kunai from the ceiling from Naruto who was now in his seat in the back again. "WHO THREW THAT?!" Sakura screeched. "Damn you're loud. Why did I like you again? I can't seem to recall." Naruto replied. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" she screeched back. "You must be going deaf from all of that screeching. I SAID that you're loud as hell. You're gonna make us all go deaf." He said as if speaking to a child. Sasuke was suspiciously shaking like he was trying not to laugh while Sakura was red in the face. But before she could do anything Kakashi interrupted, "My first impression of  you guys is you're... weird. Meet me on the roof in five." And then dissapeared in a poof of smoke, causing Sakura to huff. Sasuke then began to walk out, Sakura following quickly. "Some teammates they are, leaving me here. Well, can't wallow in self pity forever. Time to go." He then proceeded to run up the steps to the roof, right past Sakura and Sasuke. When he got to the roof, Kakashi looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "That was fast." He commented. "Yeah. I've been training a lot more the last two weeks. I realized after my graduation that my skills were still below basic so I trained and studied some more. Hokage-Jiji gave me new textbooks to study from so yeah. Nice to meet you by the way." He explained, telling white lies to keep his secret safe. "Oh, nice to meet you too. It's really good you noticed though. I hope your teammates did as well." Kakashi replied. After that, both of his teammates  walked through the door. Sakura was sweating profusely while glaring and Sasuke was panting and glaring his Uchiha glare. "Alright. Sit down and introduce yourselves." Kakashi but in before they could get a word in edgewise. After sitting, Sakura decided to speak first. "Why don't you go first since you're the unknown here?" she asked. They all turned to look at him as he sighed. "Fine. I'm Kakashi Hatake. I don't particularly like anything and I have many dislikes. As for my dreams for the future, I don't feel like sharing that with you at this time." he introduced. "Alright Blondie, you first." He ordered. "Alright! My name's Naruto Uzumaki! I like ramen, and my precious people! I dislike people who can't tell the difference between a kunai and the storage scroll it's kept in. My dream for the future is to become Hokage so I can protect the people I care about and my village." Naruto replied. 'He seems more mature than his file led on. If what he said earlier was true though, I should reassess tomorrow.' Kakashi thought as the other two went, Sakura's squealing breaking him out of his thoughts. "Alright. Met me at training ground 7 at 7AM tomorrow. Oh, and don't eat breakfast. You might puke it up. Ja ne." he said, disappearing in a poof of smoke. "Later Emo, Banshee. See you tomorrow. Also, if you don't eat, you won't have any energy to do anything in the first place, let alone throw up from it." Naruto said, jumping off the roof and disappearing. "Tch. Damn Dobe, thinking he's  better than me..." Sasuke said, leaving with Sakura trailing behind.
