A heavy silence falls between the vampire and the girl as they drive far away from the city limits, reaching deep into the forest.

The taps of water drizzle upon the windshield of the car, with the heavy musk of rain filling up the space between them.

It had started raining when they left, with a downpour on its way.

This was good, seeing as it will slow down the Governor and his men, giving  the girl and the vampire enough time to escape.

She grips the fabric of her dress with unease, casting a side glance over to Seokjin, noticing the way he is breathing heavily with sweat dripping down his brow.

She is the opposite, feeling her body shiver due to the cold weather from the rain.

"Seokjin...are you okay?" She asks, her voice is low, almost a whisper.

Seokjin looks over to her, giving her a smile that looks forced. "I'm fine-agh!" Seokjin groans, clutching his chest.  The car swerves alittle, then slows down until it stops.

"Seokjin! You're bleeding!" She gasps when Seokjin removes his blood stained hand from his chest, revealing a bullet wound.

She's horrified, no doubt about it, but she's worried too. From what she's read, vampires can heal themselves, but Seokjin wasn't healing, and he looked like he was getting weaker and weaker by the second.

"Seokjin, we need to find shelter for the night." She pleads. The vampire tells her no, that they need to get as far away as they can, but he shudders again, eyes glowing red with a growl escaping him.

"Seokjin, please." She begs, clutching onto his arm in desperation. "We can't continue further if you are weak."

Seokjin senses it and feels terrible for making her worry, so he agrees and gets the car moving, driving just alittle further until they come across an abandoned farm off the side of the road.

Seokjin parks the car behind the barn, keeping it out of sight. She gets out of the car first, not caring that her wedding dress is soaked and dirty from the rain.

"Come on. Let me help you inside." She says, hooking one of Seokjin's arms around her shoulder, thankfully she is about the same height as him.

They briskly enter the barn, where she sits Seokjin down on a stack of hay and shuts the barndoor, masking out the sound of the heavy rainfall out side.

The vampire takes heavy breathes, using his powers to push out the bullets inside him.

She gasps, watching in horror as each bullet plops out of his body. Scientifically this is impossible, but Seokjin is a being thought to be a myth by science.

With the final bullet out of him, Seokjin can feel his body slowly healing, but it wasn't fast enough. He has lost too much blood and requires more to give him strength.

The dull beating of her heart was calling to Seokjin, beckoning him to drink from her, but Seokjin looks away from y/n, not wanting to cause her harm.

"Those bullets are made of silver, which slows down my healing process." Seokjin tells her. "I lost too much blood, and now I-" a pause, he clutches his stomach and lurches forward, growling deeply as a hinge of hunger grips him by the throat, choking him with the need for blood.

She understands what's happening. The feral look that crosses Seokjin's beautiful eyes lets her know that the vampire is craving for blood.

Her blood.

"Will a single bite turn me?" She asks, moving herself closer to the vampire.

Seokjin retracts from her, forcing down another growl as it tries to rip out of his throat. The sweet scent of her blood entices him, makes him want to tear her throat open and guzzle down the sweet crimson that runs through her body.
