Present Day
Dusk had made its presence known, with the sun escorting itself below the horizon, allowing the moon to take over.
The vampire stands at the balcony, a warm cup of freshly brewed tea in hand as he stares at the city streets below him.
A gentle breeze sweeps past him, pulling in the scent of peppermint, making a smile appear on his lips as he turns around to see Namjoon standing by the balcony entrance, fondly looking at Jin with a dimpled smile.
"Can't sleep?" He jokes, knowing the vampire doesn't require sleep.
Jin smiles in reply and takes a sip of his tea. "Even if I could sleep, my thoughts won't allow me." He says, returning his attention to the city below him.
Namjoon strides up to the vampire and gently wraps his buff arms around the vampire's slim waist, then rests his chin on the vampires shoulder with a soft hum. "Is it about that woman from your past?" He asks. Seokjin has already told Namjoon the story of the governors daughter, which also explained why Namjoon was having memories from a past life.
Because she was Namjoon in a past life.
The vampire nods in response to Namjoon's question, already feeling his body relax under the human's embrace. "It killed me inside when I lost her." To entice that feeling, Seokjin's heart clenches, making his chest ache. "I lived a long life without knowing what love was, until I met her."
Seokjin turns around, still being held under the human's embrace. "She was a human who was way ahead of her time period. A woman whose mind welcomed the strange and the enigmatic, including myself."
He thinks about her often, even now as he is held within the human's embrace.
"I may have known her for a few days, but I felt something for her." He turns himself around to face the human, still being held in the human's embrace. "It's the same with you. I feel a magnetic attraction to you, as if perhaps fate has once again decided to give me a second chance."
Namjoon smiles to that, his dimples peeking out his cheeks. "Perhaps so." He says with a soft whisper, shifting his gaze down to the vampires lips then back to the vampires soft brown eyes. "But fate was blinded to the fact that I came back as a man, and that I'm from a bloodline of vampire hunters."
The vampire nods, acknowledging that aspect. "Being with a man or a woman doesn't deter my feelings."
"But I'm a vampire hunter. Our worlds shouldn't cross." Namjoon reminds him.
"Yet they have." Says the vampire, his voice downed to a soft whisper as he deeply stares into the hunters eyes. "I'm not scared of being with you."
Namjoon takes a moment to respond, the vampire hears his heart beating slightly faster than normal, can feel the warmth airing off the humans body as his honey toned cheeks braise with a shade of pink.
"Neither am I."
The vampire's breath is caught within the soft embrace of Namjoon's lips, the human taking the initiative to kiss him first.
They've been affectionate before, both taking this relationship slow with soft kisses and warm cuddles.
Still, every time they kiss, the vampire feels butterflies in his stomach, feels his heart beating just a little faster, pumping blood through his veins to push the warmth out onto his skin.
The kiss starts of soft, as always, but this time the human pushes past his comfort zone, roaming his hands along the vampire's body, his fingers tugging and pressing into the curves of the vampire's waist.
It takes Seokjin's breath away, quite literally. but as quickly as it started, the human pulls away, leaving a short breath between them.
Once again, the vampire's heart flutters, that nostalgic feeling he once had all those years ago resurfaces reawakens within him. "It's going to be a dangerous journey from here on out." he tells the human.
"I know, and I'm not scared nor ashamed about my feelings for you, Seokjin." Namjoon tells him with a soft whisper, his deep voice soothing the vampire's worries. "The other hunters don't have to know..."
"But your brother does, and he isn't too fond of our relationship." Seokjin reminds him.
Taehyung isn't a fan of vampires, that much is obvious. He wasn't too keen on having his brother in a relationship with a vampire, although Seokjin poses no threat to them at all. Namjoon has talked to his brother many times about the subject, and even though Taehyung has stopped quarrelling about it, Namjoon still senses his brothers hostility for the vampire.
"Taehyung won't be an issue for us, he's got other agendas on his mind." Namjoon tells him, thinking about his neighbor who is Taehyung's teacher, and also Taehyung's romantic interest. "But-" Namjoon continues, his expression slightly grim. "My worries are with Jungkook."
The vampire eases out a low sigh, knowing this subject was not avoidable. Another reason Taehyung despises Seokjin, is because Seokjin is training Jungkook, a young vampire who is still learning how to control himself and his bloodlust. It was thanks to Jin that Jungkook became a vampire, for that he gave his blood to Jungkook's dying mother when she was pregnant with Jungkook, thus turning the fetus into a half human, half vampire.
Also, Taehyung and Jungkook are rivals when it comes to the affection of their teacher whom they both have a interest in. The teacher in question is just like Namjoon, a person who was reincarnated into a new life.
Seokjin had met her in a past life, when she was a human. He was the one who turned her into a vampire, where later on she met Jungkook and turned him. From her memories, her and Jungkook were slain by vampire hunters, only to be reunited again two hundred years later, with Jungkook as a vampire and the woman as a human.
"I have Jungkook under control." Soekjin tells him.
"For now. But you and I know he won't be able to resist the thirst for blood. He's a young vampire and they are more susceptible to lose control."
Seokjin nods in agreement. "I know, but for now, Jungkook is doing very good in keeping his thirst at bay. When the day comes where he begins to lose control, I'll take him far away from the city and out of anyone's harms way."
It lessens the human's worries for now, but Namjoon already has a back up plan in mind incase the vampire's plan fails. "Very well." he says, wanting to bring the subject back to them. "Lets us return to bed, I was feeling lonely without you." Namjoon tells him with a dimpled smile.
The vampire swoons at the gesture, already his body moves on its own as he takes the hunters hand and leads him into the bedroom. From there, he places his cup of tea on the side table and lays in bed, with the human laying next to him.
They haven't had sex, yet.
They don't want to rush it into their relationship, nor do they have any urges to lay intimately with each other. That time will come, but for now, laying in the arms of the human is all the vampire desired, all that he needed as he felt his heart awakening with the same happiness he once felt a century ago.
